I'll start by saying we went in winter, out of season. The Soldek was closed and we only could do the museum on the 'old town' side of the river. I'm not really sure how we paid (slight language barrier), but we got tickets to all 3 floors individually - each floor containing its own exhibition. For us two adults... More

The museum has different locations. We went with kids to the maritime culture center. It is small (1 floor) and organized per visit slot (every hour meaning you cannot enter as you want). When you are in, it is very fun for the kids and as well interesting for the adults. We spent great time there!

The maritime museum was a bit dull. It seemed a bit tired, and the information cards in English were hard work. Also the staff followed you round all the time, which was a bit off-putting. The staff in the Crane across the river were much more welcoming. The art work made the visit worthwhile though

I enjoyed the exhibits and found the museum interesting, however there's something very weird here that i'm not used to in a museum, throughout our whole time thereat least one staff member was stood just glaring at us! It was very odd, not to mention it seemed very impolite. Usually attendants at museums manage to meld into the background but... More

Many wonderful artefacts and superb models. Take the ticket to see inside the crane as well as the granary sections over the river. Make sure you take the 2 minute museum ferry trip over.

The Museum was well organised with a helpful series of laminated cards for non-Polish speakers. It was spacious and the exhibits were sensibly grouped. A ticket also gave entry to the nearby ship, the Crane and crossings on the river ferry.

My boyfriend and I visited the maritime museum on Ołowianka island. The museum has different historical objects and information from the middle ages to nowadays on three different floors. It took us about an hour to see the whole inside exhibition of the museum and we enjoyed every second of it.

This is a great place for both kids and grown ups. it encompasses several places, so spare at least one day to cover everything in a pleasant slow paced visit.

The Soldek ship is really worth to visit, I haven't seen any ship this big from inside before. It's nice museum, there are informations written in English, so you'll get to know many interesting facts. We were so thrilled about ship we spent much time there so we weren't able to see museum in granaries whole - the last part... More

I agree with some of the other comments. It is a nice museum situated in multiple buildings. Especially taking the ferry is an extra treat. The thing that bothered me the most was the lack of English information. Yes, there are booklets in each room, but the information on it is far less than on the Polish signs. To be... More
