    Clock this Cathedral
Amazing. Everything you would expect. As good as you might find in most capital cities. And then there is the clock. You need to be there for 12:00 noon. Actually you need to get there before to secure a viewing point. So medieval. And so worth making an effort to witness.

    Great visit. Nice church
Easily located in the busy (tourist) spot in town, the church is huge. On immediate entry it looks quite stark, but then you look more closely and the walls are full of decoration and carving. Great visit

    Stay for the Apocalypse
One of the biggest churches in Poland worth to visit. It has a lot of history, which is best sampled within a tour of the city. We especially recommend staying for the 12:00 mechanism on the astrological clock. Going up is a lot of stairs, which we did not do as this part is not free.

    Nice views
If you come to Gdansk in winter and would like to see the coty from above you need to go to this church as there is a viewing platform on top of the bell tower. It costs 16 PLN per person, which is about 4 EUR. Anyway, keep in mind you need to climb 400 steps. But it is worth it. The views are lovely. Unfortunately the platform is quite small. So more than 10 people and dang, it is already crowded. Why have I mentioned the winter season? Well, during summer you can also climb the platform of the old townhall. It is closed in winter.

    Gothic church
A very fascinating Gothic church landmark in Gdansk's Old Town. Unfortunately, photos are not allowed inside the church, and I do respect that. Inside, you'll find good paintings and sculptures. Some floors of the church contain gravestone slabs. I recommend seeing this church when you are in Gdansk.

    Huge Brick Gothic Church
It looks large from outside but when you step inside it is vast, in fact I learned that it is one of the largest brick built churches in the world. It is free entry and you can stroll around or sit for a while, you can walk up the tower for a charge but I was informed that there was 400 steps and as I had walked a fair bit already that day I declined. Definitely worth a visit as you explore the old town.

    Beautiful interior with astronomical clock
St. Mary's Church can be found in the center of Gdansk Old Town which is the largest gothic brick churches in the world. Which holds a rich history which dates back years. Was taken back by the interior of the church from its high ceiling vaults and pillars in white which were damage during WWII and the original frescoes have been whitewashed but all still do make a statement. architectural features, beautiful stained glass windows, scattered around the stone floor are about 300 tombstones, chapels, artwork. The astronomical clock dating from 1464 is stunning to see. You do have option of to climb up to the top of the tower. Did visit early in morning which gave me a great opportunity to take many photos of this beautiful church.

Stunning views and so worth it!
We visited St. Mary’s on 2 occasions. Once to just view all of the history as well as to watch the astronomical clock at noon. Such an amazing experience! It can be quite busy but no issues with viewing. We returned a couple of days later and climbed to the top of the bell tower. It was 18 zlotys each and worth every penny! 406 steps from bottom to top! The views of the city were just spectacular!!! Be prepared to be in a small and twisting staircase to begin with but it widens closer to the top. Heights aren’t my favourite but I had no issues or worries!! Highly recommend!

The view from the tower was obscured and the viewing platform was tiny. Glad I did it for the views but did think it was going to be better.

Must see when in Gdaňsk. Great architecture, the biggest brick church building in Europe. Free entrance.
Tower view available (ticket 18 PLZ/adult).

St. Mary's Basilica is the main, biggest and highest Church in Gdansk. It dates back to early 16c, built in Gothic style and counts as one of the biggest brick Churches in the world.
Interiors are with high Gothic arched ceilings, pretty empty and whitewashed - result of WWII devastation and lootings. Few notable tombs inside including the assassinated Gdansk Mayor.
You can climb the 409 steps bell tower for 16 Zl fee (around 4 Euros). Despite the high steps number, it's not that hard - only the first around 70 steps are narrow and spiral, while after them you climb a broad staircase built on the sides of a vast and spacious bell tower, so you can take your time and rest along the way not disturbing others.
Views from up are amazing as it's the highest spot in city (though pretty small platform).

This is a very nice church that is well worth a visit. The astronomical clock (located inside the church) is an unusual item.
