St Mary's church is the largest brick church in europe. It is nice from the outside but very bare from the inside.

Beautiful old church, one of many in the old town of Gdansk. From the plattform on top of the church, you have a great overview over the old town and the city.

There was some restoration work going on but that didn't stop my friend from dragging me to the top to see the amazing view... from memory it was well over 400 steps, phew. The stairs are very tiny and narrow in places and hard for...More

There is a lot of restoration work going on which doesn't show the church in the shape that it deserves but it is still worth paying the very modest fee to visit it entirely. If you can climb the 405 steps to the top of...More

We have been there recently and the huge church is under renovation. It looks simply poor these days. The building is giant but not that pretty.

The church is huge, but the inside is destroyed over the time by painting over all the great frescos it once had. There is intuition to see the inside closer. We did not pay for that and only looked what's there to see from the...More

Lovely big church but still being restored. Can climb tower at certain times, 409 steps, some stone spiral, some wood, some metal. Astrological clock works at midday if you want to see in action.

Apparently it is one of the largest brick churches in the world. A truly incredible building and the views from the top are phenomenal.

Inside the church there is not that much too see, most of things are beeing reconstructed, but the tower is a place to go...in a very(very!) narrow round-and-round staircase with 500 steps! Amazing view over the town! Costs 10 pln.

I am not really into churches so I focused on the viewing tower. It is about 500 steps to get there, the views are great but restricted by walls and nets.

There's a donation - but it would be very difficult to enter without paying.
