The church itself is massive and well worth a look but the main reason to visit is the viewing platform at the top of the bell tower - its a bit of a trek to get up but the views are spectacular

This huge, brick, Gothic church was built by the Teutonic Knights. It was largely destroyed by Russian forces in 1945. Just walking about it is a testament to the huge and meticulous reconstruction job done by the Polish people. I visited it 19 years ago...More

Maybe a little less impressive than some churches in Europe in terms of grandeur, but this place is nice enough on its own merits to be a focal point of the old town. The view from the tower is pretty good for those willing to...More

Situated at the end of a charming street, this lovely church is typically polish. Simple yet Gothic interior style and well worth a walk up the million steps for the best view over Gdansk!

The trip to the top of this church is worth it! 400 stair steps, but the view from the top is amazing! I recommend good shoes and camera!

There's a donation - but it would be very difficult to enter without paying.

Yes, there is a small fee to pay go to the tower, but its worth it. Also please note staircase to the tower are very wide, but its a big unusually open space going up and rather not for someone with fear of hights.
