Interesting building which is worth exploring. There is no stained glass in the windows, which allows more light in, and as the 'ceiling' is so very high, it adds to that impression. In superb condition, with wonderful paintings and I would encourage people to visit

Where else can you be granted permission to grab the clapper of the bell and give it a good swing? Where else can you have such an animated tour guide. A man so thrilled to show and explain the tower, bell, and view afforded? Plus...More

St. Jacob Church is known for its clock tower that sticks out well, above the rest of the structures. Like lot of tall Czech churches, it’s hard to get a good photo up close but the beautiful clock tower is visible from most areas of...More

I have been living in Brno for several decades and know all the churches and cathedrals, yet I have never been to the tower of this church until last Sunday. And it is really worth! You will climb cca 190 steps up to the huge...More

The church is just like any other church to me, but I enjoyed the guided visit to the tower, with very unsusual stairs design. You can also see the organs from up close, the roof and the bells. Hardly any view, since it's not very...More

Lovely old church, in the heart of the city. Because it was Christmas time, there were services going on throughout the evenings. There was no entry charge.

Simple but beautiful church. The vaulting inside is exquisite. But for me the fun is found in the exterior sculptures (which are few) that are explained by local folk stories. Unique!

Great place with outstanding atmosphere. Forme lot better than "Petrov" cathedral. White interior seems so clean and innocent and also the tour to the tower is amazing. I am not religios but this place is a symbol of peace for me.

No, churches do not need any air conditioning. Even in the hottest summer the temperature in our churches is very pleasant.
