A quick trip out to the bone church and into this little town for lunch...

Never regret the little things you find along the way... the town hall here is fabulous... steeped in a chequered history of the Czech nation....

Here is the heart where you start your Brno journey, the Tourist Information Centre is here. The famous Brno dragon (oh well it looks more like a crocodile :p) is suspended in a passage way where you walk to the tower. I climbed the tower at Petrov & I wanted to climb this too but it was closed for the... More

The Gothic sculptured arch over the entrance has a central spire that is twisted. Apparently the great and good who had commissioned it failed to pay the full sum agreed, so the sculptor made it "wrong" out of spite. Unfortunately there is not much else to see.

No, we didn't climb the tower, too lazy. But as we entered inner courtyard through narrow passage, to my amazement , there it was, a full size croc hanging from the ceiling on chains, right above my head ! The brass plate informed , that it has been there from 1618 , which makes it almost 300 years, and been... More

In the centre of the old part of town another tower to climb and see another part of the town from the top. 155 steps later we reached the top...I counted them on the way down !!

With a tower to climb. If you like nice panorama views and are willing to climb for it, you should go for this tower. Otherwise you can just shortly stop by to look at the building on your way from the astronomical clock to the Cathedral, which walk seemed to me the main axis of tourist sights in Brno.

One of the places not to miss out on your trip to Brno, the Old Town Hall is a gem. Climb up to the top of the tower, and then refresh yourself in one of the many good pubs, cafes and restaurants in Old Brno nearby.

Definitely worth a vist, the view over the city is amazing! The view from here is more impressive than the view from the cathedral! Also, its cheap!
