Worth the visit

The castle is nice and smallish, the tour lasts 50 mins, our guide didnt speak English, and the hand-out was in poor English.

We'd looking forward to visiting the zamek for many years and were not disappointed when we got inside. We were guided around with about 15 other tourist, mainly Czech. We were given a transcript of the zamek tour as the guide only spoke Czech. As we went from room to room the interior decor, furniture and fittings was something else.... More

It's a small family chateau and we did the family home, not the big galleries. The guide was in Slovac but I loved it, seeing how people actually lived. It's a shame that more isn't available of the home, but I thought it was fabulous.

It doesn't matter if you know Czech Republic's history or not. Chateau & its history is definitely interesting & preserved nicely. You can take some wonderful pictures here & there's a lot from old times to observe & understand.

There are two tours available. We took Tour A which was the Renaissance rooms. There was no English tour available but we were given an excellent guide to each room. The guide made sure we saw the important points in each room and answered questions that we had. Worth the hour to tour it. The ceiling decorations were wonderful.

You can only visit the Chateau with a guided tour. Almost all tours are in Czech but you receive a leaflet with translation (at least FR DE UK are available). The problem is this one: the Tour A (Renaissance room) is very interesting; the rooms are well preserved; however the guide has only 1 hour to make the tour which... More

We did the English tour A and was blown away with the ceilings and original graffitioes and furnishings. Our guide was very pleasant and spoke pretty good English. Excellent tour and worth every extra penny for English. The B tour was rushed and we had to read everything. Our 2nd guide tried to explain a few things in English. But... More

A really beautiful castle with interesting art and history Just the tour went really fast and only in slovac and not the most interesting one The english guide was too much text jumping from one bit to another and with the tour going that fast it was difficult to even keep up reading it all and even seeing the rooms

I did not visit the chateau inside but from the outside it looks a bit run-down and not very taken care of. It has a nice small garden which must look great in spring and summer but visiting in autumn, I did not feel like exploring the castle more.
