This place reminded me of the "Painted Ladies" in San Francisco, beautifully colorful houses that are all of the same period. We enjoyed a wonderful evening here having a good local dinner and stroll across the cobble stone plaza.

I visited it after seeing in my guide that it was Unesco listed and it was not a deception at all. It is a lovely village, with a group of beautiful houses surrounding the main square. Each house is worthy of a photo (or almost). I loved it.

Nice for just a brief stop if it is on your way but not worth a special trip there- mostly a walk around the square to see the historic buildings and some pretty scenery/ponds just outside the square, maybe have a meal (not many options), then move on.

The centre of this historic city is well worth visiting . The square is cobbled and has many interesting buildings fine examples of 18th and 19 th century architecture. The central area has nice coffee shops and restaurants in which one can relax and enjoy the local scene.

Telc is a small town surrounded by lakes to defend the town, the central square of 500 year old houses is well worth seeing with the castle at one end and a church at the other and cafes and shops inbetween, we were lucky on the day we were there a balloon festival was taking place with a balloon lauching... The town square is very impressive, picturesque and alluring. It is recommended to take a stroll after dark to capture the full effect.

Small towns in Czech Republic are pretty, and Telc is the prettiest among six places we visited. The sense of beauty is really admirable.

We were staying nearby and thought we would pop into Telc for a quick mooch around - wonderfully surprised by what we found. An incredibly pretty town centre with a plethora of pretty shop fronts and a gorgeous church, it really is chocolate box cover stuff, with the massive advantage that it is not over run by tourists. There are... More
