Basilica Of St Peter And St Paul is an absolutely wonderful church I always love to see.
Built during the reign of King Vlatislàw II and constructed between 1070-1080 ,this church was originally built in the Romanesque style of architecture but after a devastating fire in 1249 was rebuilt in the Gothic style of architecture we see today, the most distinctive features of the church are the beautiful spires ,each spire is 58 metres high,if you're planning a holiday to Prague its a church to most definitely check out and easy to locate along Rotunde in the Praha 8 district.

The interior is splendid. Stained glass windows are luminous. The ceiling and walls are well painted. The pulpit is well decorated. Paintings are fabulous.

One of the most beautiful churches in Prague is Basilica Of St Peter And St Paul.
Founded by the Czech king ,King Vratislaw II ,this church was constructed between 1070-1080 a wonderful example of Gothic style architecture although originally it was built in the Romanesque style of architecture until a devastating fire to this church in 1249, the standout features of this church are obviously the two 58 metre high spires ,it's most definitely one of the landmark buildings in the Vysehrad District and well worth checking out if you're in the area , I viewed the church from Legion Bridge ,this church looked majestic with the Vltava River in the foreground .

We visited the basilica on March 28. There is no tram station in the vicinity of the basilica. We took an Uber to get there.
This is one of the most beautiful churches in Prague. Every wall and ceiling is decorated.
Most of the decorations are Art Nouveau style.
You won't be disappointed.

We missed the stop to Vysehrad park and then had to navigate our way up into the park and then make our way to the Basilica.
Pope John Paul II designated the Basilica status in 2003.
The church was built in the Neo-Gothisc style.
You can find out a lot about the Basilica by doing research on the internet for it but it can in no way match standing there in such a beautiful and stunning place of worship and seeing it with your own eyes. I cant begin to describe the beauty of this place in words as it was STUNNING.
If you're ever in Prague, do yourself a favor and put this down as a must see item on your itinerary.

Wow, what an amazing church to visit.
We looked in on this church as it was open and it had started to rain. I'm so glad we did. The detailed architecture is just mesmerising. Absolutely beautiful.
Definitely worth a look if you visit and you'll not be disappointed.

This church is spectacular! I did not know what to expect. I went to Vyserad following the advise of my DK Eyewitness Travel Book. The place is quiet, lovely. It is off the beaten path. There were no tour groups, only some independent visitors mainly from the Czech republic. The exterior of the church is very nice; the interior is WOW! You have to pay a very cheap ticket. Once you cross the door you will see a colorful, magnificent church. The altar is spectacular, the ceiling is very nice, the windows are delicate, and the columns are the most beautiful parts of the church. Every column depicts a saint, including the most important saints from the Czech republic such as St. Wenceslaus, Saint Ludmilla, and others. The church is unique; the interior is a maximal expression of Art Nouveau. I have never seen another Art Nouveau church in my life!
