Headed here early one morning for coffee and some pastries. I was not expecting the beautifully decorated gingerbread dolls, etc. They even have some you can hang on your Christmas tree. My friend bought several different items to give as gifts. I bought the Kolacky...More

Right around the block from the restaurant, Lokal, the Pernickuv Sen bakery is filled with gingerbread cookies and other delectable confectionary goods. They all seemed so tempting. We did have some gingerbread, which had a mild flavor, and also one of the assorted cakes. Mine...More

We visited 'Gingerbred Dream' Pernickuv Sen with a foodie tour - loved all the cookies we tried which were not all gingerbread. They have great unique gifts as well at very reasonable prices, and unique detailed little frosted cookies that Martha Stewart would love.

As best as I could tell from my research, "pernicky" is a type of traditional Czech gingerbread cookie that is made without ginger. Being a fan of gingerbread, some additional pre-trip research led me to Pernickuv Sen. Since it's only about a 5-10 minute walk...More
