Unfortunately we arrived here, looking forward to our ride, to find it is closed until 22nd April. We chose to walk up Petrin Hill to the top, it is not an easy walk - quite steep in places, I would recommend walking up past the...More

Made our way there only to find it was closed til 22nd April. Very disappointing and a very long uphill climb (30 mins to get to the top). We took the bus to the monastery and walked (much easier) but such a let down that...More

Rather than being a tourist attraction I see this more as a transport option. You can, apparently buy a travel card to get around Prague on buses, trams and the metro and this includes the Fenicular railway. We just bought a one-way ticket for 24CZK...More

We wanted to visit Petrin hill for it's view on Prague and decided to use the funicular. There was noone at the ticket office to help with the tickets or change money but we managed to get them. At least we thought so... Because nobody...More

Not really an attraction, just a handy inexpensive way to get up Petrin Hill quickly. Ticket machines in English and Czech which is very handy. Not everyone gets a seat and some people got off at the first stop which is only half way up,...More

Not sure why people are posting such negative reviews as it really is quite easy. Purchase ticket from kiosk or machine, both give change. Stamp ticket on machine at entry gate. Go on train. Purchase 24czk ticket (less than £1) if you only intend going...More

Easy to get to get to Petrin Tower, tucked in behind some buildings, so not easy to find. Cost included with Prague Card.

Having had an absolutely fabulous few days in Prague where we have experienced some beautiful meals, amazing wines and fantastically service we unfortunately chose to go to the funicular railway later this afternoon. This has put a slight dampener on what has been a fabulous...More

We'd brought the day travel pass that included the funicular so as we were close by we made the effort to go. We had to queue for about 25 minutes, its mostly single track with a passing place three quarters of the way up so...More

Metro stop is not nearby the Funicular. But trams stop close by. Same transport ticket is used.
