Located in a cellar at center of old Prague. Nice atmosphere, good acoustic and a lot of exquisite jazz music. The owner must change the chairs to a bit more comfortable ones (-:

Set in a cave with great acoustics and good bar with local beer and drinks completes the authentic local mood. Very tight seating, get there early.

We spent the last evening of our city break weekend here. I'd seen some jazz clubs dotted about Prague and noted this one had good reviews. We made an email reservation the day before (which I'd recommend, as it does get full) and paid for our tickets upon arrival. The club is downstairs in the cellar, and as you would... More

We went there three times this year. I don't know if they wish to give all Czech formations a chance to perform at least once but they need to be more selective and keep the good stuff for several nights running otherwise the uneven quality becomes discouraging. We are fans of this place but quality must improve. We are not... More

A must-visit for jazz lovers. Intimate and authentic! Adam Ben Ezra performed when we were there. Open from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. Friendly, down to earth staff.

This club was recommended to us and did not disappoint. It was 250ck (approx. £8.25) to get in, it's down in a basement, I was apprehensive at first as you can't see how busy it is from the entrance where you pay, but the room was full. It has a rustic feel, and is a small venue with the tables... More

We called in here after a good dinner in the town. The band playing was called HOT LINE and they made a really good sound. The place is only small so you are very close to the performers. The drinks prices are very good - we had a bottle of reasonable red wine for 205 czech crowns - less than... More

Had a Wonderful time for our fourth visit to AghaRTA... the vibe is so cool, and the music just kicks. If the house is full, try and get the table that is on stage and behind the piano, it's an experience that is hard to improve on.

This is a really unique and intimate space; set inside a 14th century vault! The musicians we saw were definitely first-rate, but in my opinion, they fell more into the category of “jam-band”. Regardless of musical style, the drink prices were friendly and it was a really enjoyable time.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
