It's a modern building designed in 1996 by the american architect frank O. Gehry. On top there is a beautiful overview of the town with an external terrace of a bar. The external building remember two dancers and it is usually called by the citizen, Ginger and Fred.

Commercial building but with public gallery (and restaurant) at top so get there via a public lift. A cooling wine or beer on the small circular terrace is a wonderful way to take an interlude here. Nice views from the top but spectacular view of the building form the outside - beware traffic as you seek a photo angle. Loved... More

There is many places with pretty unique views in prague but this is one of the best. When you go to the 7th floor, there's a bar and for buying a drink, you get a chance to go to the terrace from where you can see most of the pragues dominants - prague castle, vysehrad, vltava river with its islands,... As with some places in Prague, I think the charm, for me, of this building was the modern architecture compared to the backdrop of the historical architecture in a city. It is worth the visit if you have extra time, but personally is not worth going out of your way for when in Prague. We actually found by going for... More

Just spending a little money to buy some beverages or desserts let you enjoy the nice view of the Valtava river from the roof.

The dancing building not only offers fantastic architecture but glorious views too. When we arrived we entered the building and went right up to the 7th floor where there is a bar. We had a couple of drinks, this enabled us to go out on to the 360 balcony. Alternatively we could buy a ticket but I worked out more... More

The shape of this building is enough to make you want to go and visit. We visited here but it can be difficult with sunshine to get a decent picture. Up top there is a little coffee shop to get beer and coffee etc. It was very pricey for bottles of beer but it was worth going up to see... More

Prague is full of architectural wonders, most of them old, or made to look old, this one is made to look new and worth a stop. Most of the tourist buses will drive by it but to get a photo you will likely need to walk down to it. The sun can be a bit tricky but it really is... More

I loved this architecture! So unusual and unique! Good for pictures or just for watching. It's surrounded by a nice area also, with some nice restaurantes. Not so much into the touristic region.

Heard so much about this structure I needed to walk down and see it. Yep, fun and quirky on the outside, very innovative and clever. Walked inside and found out they have a rooftop bar - great views of the city from up there.

On the roof there is a cafe and an observation deck. The building does not violate the general style and well blended into the surrounding landscape.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
