We asked and received recommendations on local wines which were good. Likewise their recommendations on cheese to eat with our wine were good but the service was very slow and the atmosphere generally unfriendly

This place calls itself a wine bar but is really a glorified wine shop/restaurant. The prices are exorbitant. They had never heard of an aerator for tannic wines. They care about the bottom line to the exclusion of all else.More
