We revisited Tony's gallery after making arrangements to participate in an art class for glasswork. It was arranged so we could meet Tony again, but unfortunately, he had a very serious accident back in April, and is still going through rehabilitation. Still, we were able to participate, and it was an amazing experience. Afterwords, we toured the gallery, and found... More

We were walking back to our hotel from the bridge looking at store windows when across from the Hard Rock café we found the Manto Gallery. We were drawn inside and discovered some amazing glass art work. We were taken by the handmade wine glasses with embedded garnets and could not leave without a pair. The sales woman was very... I read TripAdvisor for most restaurants, hotels and attractions but I didn't know about Tony's shop until my husband and I walked past. We saw his glasses in the window on our first day, but didn't want to buy until we were able to see other shops. Nevertheless, we came back as these glasses are so original and beautiful. We... Glass gallery I have been visiting for many years in Prague just opened a new gallery behind the old town square/across from The Hard Rock Cafe....just a few minutes walk from the square. The artist, Antonin Manto makes both traditional bohemia inspired glass objects/glass ware AND contemporary designs...from small goblets, cups , bowls and large items like hanging pendants/chandeliers. He... More

We had seen some reviews on TA, and wanted to see for ourselves the work done by Tony. His shop is easy to miss, but if you stand in front of the Hard Rock Cafe, he's directly across the street. We fell in love with is glass work, especially the crystal goblets, and his Dragon's Eggs sculpture/chandelier is totally amazing.... More

We visited the gallery last March. Loved Tony's work and made a few purchases. Unfortunatley, one of our wine glasses was deliverd broken and several of our items were not sent. Tony Manto personally made sure we got all our items and not only replaced the broken glass, but sent an additional one as well. We can't say enough good... More

If you like handmade jewelry, this is the place for you. They sell unique, handmade pieces made by many local artists at very good prices. Male Namesti is full of souvenir shops and they all display similar items to the point where it gets boring to even browse around. This store however is very different and the people working there... We were given a tip by our wonderful tour guide, to find and visit the GOF+FA gallery. It is straight across the plaza from the Hard Rock Cafe. We had looked in many other crystal shops in Prague and found them high priced, with product mostly from China. Tony Manto is a local Czech artisan who creates inspired, hand-blown goblets... More

Stumbled on this gallery right off OldTown Square. Beautiful and originally art glass. We spent a couple of hours with the artist/owner Tony who made us feel like family. His work is truly exquisite. We could feel Tony's passion as he told of us his work. We will always remember how he and his son took care of us and... More

Across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe, just off Old Town Square, this shop is a must if you are looking for unique crystal pieces designed by a local Czech. As luck would have it, Tony, the owner and artist, was in the store the day we went in. What a delight to have him personally show us the... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
