This was my second time to Prague so I decided to try out the view from this tower. The view was mainly of the municipal house and new town. I much preferred the old town hall tower views.

The cost of admission is pretty reasonable, and the rooftop was fun to walk around for different views of the area,

On our last day we decided to climb the stairs to take in the view from the tower. A very old tower, remodelled a number of times, being part of the old town wall & now surrounded by the 'old' new town. Accessed through a...More

Don't confuse this tower with Henry's Tower, located just 4 minutes away in a SSE direction. If you look at the pictures, they look different. But for a first time visitor not knowing what the tower looks like, it is hard to tell what tower...More

This is like the gateway to the street leading to old town/town square. It is quite a tall and beautiful tower.. seems every one stop here to take a picture before continuing down to Old tiwn square. Its a major land mark and meeting point.

Tower is very pretty from outside and in an area filled with many restaurants and shopping. Didn't have the opportunity to go up, but would be a nice stop in the area.

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents
the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and
squares, and stone towers blend together with the

No it's on the first level, up a spiral staircase and quite tight for space. Hope this helps.
Hello all, Thank you for your time to read my questions. Is it necessary to purchase tickets in advance? Also, where can one purchase tickets? ..is the wait to go to the top a long wait? Thanks!

Tickets are easily bought at the base of the tower. No worries. Only go up if you have a clear day with great visibility.
