If (and only if) you are interested in European art from the xv th to the xix th centuries, I recommend this visit. The collection is impressive, the palace is magnificent, and it is really quiet, you can stroll through the galleries at your own...More

Spent a lovely morning at this palace / National Museum. It is beautifully laid out, pieces are well displayed and the walls are not cluttered. It is home to ancient Greek & Roman works, Renaissance and 19th-century paintings. Includes an El Greco and a great...More

The Bronzino is superb, what fantastic colours. I enjoyed looking at these pictures for a a short while before I made the terrible mistake of pointing. If there are rules about how close one may stand without being shouted at, he fact that pointing is...More

Mainly interesting to me for its Dutch still lifes. Somewhat bizarre guards, who can be quite intrusive and distracting. Charming young people painting copies.

I have visited the National Gallery on Thursday morning: no visitor was there, it means I was completely alone. The guards were (annoyed) sleeping on the chairs, just pulling themselves together when I was coming in a room. Please do not go to this extraordinary...More

Your experience in Prague will never be complete if
you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched
from the west to the north, provide spectacular views
of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone
streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green
gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses.
Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history.
