Perhaps it was something in the old days but right now I think you should walk by and say that you saw it. It is not always open to view and if it is and you pay to come in you will be disappointed.

Worth a walk around the building for its interesting architecture components and beautiful clocks. Make the tour when you are around with the walk in the Jewish quarter.

Do not enter the Jew Museum to the side of the clock, extremely disappointing, almost nothing underneath, except an underground hall. Guys are given a free, (looks disposable) Jewish hat. Entrance fee 140 czk, not worth it.

The area has been completely redone and is beautiful and high end. But when you think about what happened during WWII it is very sad to remember what happened to the Jewish populations during that time. The architecture in the area is spectacular with many...More

This is the Jewish town hall, which is rarely visited (it was not open to the public during our visit). The building features some lovely clocks and it is worth passing by it when you stroll in the Jewish quarter.

Keeping a watchful eye over Josefov is the tower of the Jewish Town Hall with its 2 distinctive clocks. It’s a picturesque site of the Jewish Town Hall, a building that sits on a busy intersection that contains historic synagogues and the Old Jewish Cemetery. One...More

A really pretty, renaissance style building in the middle of the affluent Jewish quarter of Prague. Take a look at the clocks on the front of the building, one goes forward, the other backwards, apparently when built the architect thought it would be good to...More

We came upon this during one of our walks around Prague. Thankfully someone on Trip Advisor told us that the importance of the Hebrew clock is that it runs backwards. Nice curiosity.

A picturesque sight in Jusefov. Built in the 16th century in Rococo style. Is now the seat of the Jewish comunity in Prague. At the tower 2 clocks: one in Roman figures and one in Hebrew.

Josefov houses Prague’s Jewish community. This small
neighbourhood centered around Široká street is
completely surrounded by Staré Město (Old Town). As
the former Jewish Ghetto, today all that remains are a
few synagogues and the oldest surviving Jewish
cemetery in Europe. The narrow streets were once small
enough that a person could touch the houses on both
sides. You can still feel the dignity and history this
