This was definitely one of our very favorite stops in Prague. It is a large collection (even though several floors were closed for some reason or other). The traditional art is often moving and compelling and the modern art is creative, cool, engaging and great.

We stumbled upon this place when we were wandering outside of the main touristy area of Prague. It’s a decent walk away from Prague 1. For people under the age of 26 it is completely free. There are a lot of interesting paintings and sculptures...More

As we passed in our taxi, the green netting still remains, surrounding the building. It closed on 6/7/2011 and will hopefully be completed by and reopen in October, 2018. For now a selection of the works are being shown at the Industrial Museum.

In the National Gallery you can admire different styles of the Czech art from 19th, 20th and 21st century. Most i liked Bilek and Schwabinski art.

The Trade Fair Palace (National Gallery) is out-of-the-way. We enjoy seeing French impressionist and modern art when we visit a foreign country. We hired a guide and driver, in large part to visit sites in various parts of Prague. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived...More

A small exhibition with a very few works by Klimt & Schiele certainly does not compensate for the closure of the 3rd floor. Sure, I know more about Czech art/artists now, but several times I felt what was on show was not that well-curated, and...More

One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents

The national Galery of Prague have a good collection and big variety. Big galery you gonna need more than 3 hours to explorer. We went on a week day and it was not busy at all.
