Quite an outstanding collection of 20th century modernist influences in one large and very spacious exhibition hall. So much to see here. You might go for the Klimt and Much ( yes there is lots of Mucha here so after you see what is in...More

Some interesting and well-curated displays at this Modern art gallery. Saw an exhibition on Munch but the rest of the gallery was a nice surprise. Many artists I knew and lots I didn't especially as many were Polish so was an excellent cross-section.

I was there to see Van Gogh and Picasso, but guess what... first and third floor (where you can find international art) are closed. Even part of the second floor is closed, but you have to pay full price. It's like going to The Louvre...More

Strongly recommended by our guide book, partly for the 1928 building which earned praise from Le Corbusier, we made the journey out to the Trade fair Palace (Veletrzní palác) only to be told only none of the foreign art (on floors 1 and 3) was...More

Much of the museum was closed while we were there, but we still enjoyed the parts that were open. There was a really great modern exhibit, which we loved.

Stuffed with precious artifacts of czechs and mondial art. A bit chaotic but worth visiting! Beware of that the National Gallery has couple of buildings across Prague so be prepared when you go there.

Veletržní Palace is "da bomb" if you love modern and contemporary art. When we went there the third floor (the one with the "Paris" exhibition, therefore Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh, Kilmt and the "slavic" paintings from Mucha) was under renovation. But the second and forth...More

There are a few National Galleries in Prague. This review is about the Veletrežni Palace. Building not very attractive. But the collections of both Czech and French art are impressive. A must do in Prague for people who like art

The National Gallery is called Veletrzni Palac. It is definitely my favourite in Prague. It is home to some amazing paintings of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. I only found one Van Gogh "Green Corn". Lots of Gauguin... More

I just did it this morning. I'm actually sitting in the museum right now. You walk about 2 blocks to the Palladium shopping center and catch the number 6 tram (on the side of the shopping center). You go three stops. Get... More
