I thought it was an excellent museum- much better than I expected. There is clearly a period after WWII when much less was added to the collection, and what was added probably wasn’t as good generally as what preceded it. They do have some masters....More

I suspect when all five floors of the museum or in action, particularly adding back in the non-Czech art, this museum will be worth the trip. Some of the Czech art I thought interesting, some I thought just made the floor simply because it was...More

Part of the gallery is closed including the so called foreign art. However, this didn't affect my enjoyment at all. The modern Czech art on the second floor is fascinating. I'd not heard of almost all of the artists, however, I think they would be...More

The display of photos for the 1968 invasion included a lot of war like noises creating a cacophony in an otherwise quiet space. The photos spoke for themselves. Most of the floors were vacant and there was no reduction in price. The other displays by...More

When visiing a major city, I look forward to viewing their 19th century European Art, especially their Van Goghs. After making a somewhat difficult trip to the Veletržní Palác, I found out that the museum's Van Gogh, and all their non-Czech art, were removed. Major...More

The museum is nice, I even like the contrast between grey Communist era exterior and modern interior. However, it is not ok to display names of artists everywhere, even in front of the museum, just to let you know that these parts are ‘closed’ after...More

This branch of the National Gallery in Prague has 20th century art. It is interesting to see the building & views of the city in addition to the collection. Most noteworthy might be the special exhibitions. They currently have a black and white photo exhibition...More

We caught the tube out to The National Gallery to view the exhibition of Mucha’s Slavic Epic paintings, all 20 of them. Took him over 18 years to complete them. It was a Contemporary Art Gallery built in the late 1920’s, quite a cool place...More

Quite an outstanding collection of 20th century modernist influences in one large and very spacious exhibition hall. So much to see here. You might go for the Klimt and Much ( yes there is lots of Mucha here so after you see what is in...More

Some interesting and well-curated displays at this Modern art gallery. Saw an exhibition on Munch but the rest of the gallery was a nice surprise. Many artists I knew and lots I didn't especially as many were Polish so was an excellent cross-section.

I don't know about parking although traffic was not heavy in that part of the city. We found it easy to get to by tram.
