The ticket is a combined one for 6 sights at a cost of CZK 330 but the Old New Synagogue is not included which is a disappointment. Most sights are unattractive except the Spanish Synagogue which inside is worth seeing. I guess visitors of non jews or non European origins may find these sights unattractive.

We ordered tickets "A +B" from the museum website to cover all 7 locations in the Jewish quarter. Order the audio guide online also, as you get a discount. The ticket covers several synagogues covering 700 years of Jewish history in Prague, a museum of jewish life under soviet occupation, a holocaust memorial and the old jewish cemetary. Too much... The most interesting place with all the history in the museum and the cemetery. By all means it is worth the money to see all this historical places and all the buildings in the Jewish Quoter. They are all well kept, clean and beautiful.

We booked a private tour through the Jewish Museum in Prague for my family of six adults ages 20 to 54 (we qualified as our own group!). We paid full adult admission for everyone except my university student son, plus the guide fee. We did the sites minus the Old-New Synagogue. We know very little about the Jewish faith or... More

This is well worth a visit. You get a idea of how people lived in the Jewish Quarter, and there is an excellent summary of the history through the ages. The memorial to the lives lost in the Holocaust is particularly moving.

Staying in Josefov

Neighbourhood Profile
Josefov
Josefov houses Prague’s Jewish community. This small neighbourhood centered around Široká street is completely surrounded by Staré Město (Old Town). As the former Jewish Ghetto, today all that remains are a few synagogues and the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in Europe. The narrow streets were once small enough that a person could touch the houses on both sides. You can still feel the dignity and history this neighbourhood carries in its legacy as Franz Kafka’s birthplace. Nearby streets are full of kosher restaurants, museums and antique bookstores.
