As you visit Prague, you will surely wander on Mostecka street (you should go). So inevitably, you will see St-Nicholas church. Ou should tale the time to visit. This will not take too much time. The inside is nice, but not as much as the cathedral in the old town. You can climb the tower if you have the time.... More

Both of the St. Nicholas churches are worth a view. The newer one has a gigantic chandelier. The older one is just a spectacle!

Be careful as there are two St Nicholas churches in Prague. This one has wonderful mosaics and statues worth the entry cost. Very unique among churches I've visited,

Our tour guide recommended we see this as we didn't have time when we were with him. It's well worth taking time - not only because of the amazing ornamentation inside but because you can head up some stairs and get a view down on it all. It's unique and very impressive.

The cathedral is very beautiful and a lovely place to visit. We also went up the bell tower here. it's over 300 steps and I would heartily advise caution for the elderly or more infirm visitor as this is very steep in parts, with some very small stairs in other bits and a killer of a spiral staircase near the... What a beatiful cathedral to visit. The paintings above your head leave you with a creak in your neck but well worth it.

This is a beautiful cathedral, located in the small quarter. The cathedral features a beautiful high ceiling, a magnificent organ and great acoustics.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
