Willing to taste some local Absinthe, we visited this place after having read TripAdvisor reviews. They have plenty of choice and you can spend a lot of time checking all the bottles and deciding which one you want to taste or buy. The place is nicely decorated, even if seems to much underground or dark for many people. However, no... More

Came from Ireland and had this place recommended! The choice of drinks all containing Absinth was amazing, and the cocktails that my girlfriend and I tried were stunning (the zombie)! The staff were also so friendly, nicest Czech people we came across to be honest which gave the bar a nice atmosphere! Definitely worth checking out!!

First thing to note is that this TripAdvisor entry is serving double duty for two separate locations of Absintherie: my wife and I visited the one on Jilska Street, which is mapped here, but there’s also another on Franz Kafka Square. For personalised attention, do as we did and go mid-afternoon on a weekday—we had the place practically all to... More

Decided to come here as absinthe is popular in Prague. The setting was very cosy drinks were not really expensive! We chose absinthe cocktails which did not taste as bad as they could have done! Staff were friendly and the walk from the metro station is only about 2 minutes tops. Would definitely recommend if visiting Prague and it really... More

The place looks really nice and the staff is very friendly. Drinks and service are great. It is expensive though, and the bar can quickly become overcrowded. All in all, we definitely recommend a visit.

Even if you're not in to Absinth, you have to try this. A great surrounding aside, the service is exceptional good. Michael was extremely helpful in recommending us what to try and taste. He was even so kind to make a reservation in a local restaurant! We will come here again for sure.

The bar is in a good location. Turnover of tables is good, so you'll always get a seat. Music is good too. Good recommendations and the staff are very knowledgeable. Good service.

At first I ha no idea if the cocktails would kill me or not, but to be honest, it was wonderful. As a person who also works at a bar, I promise you won't get disappointed in there. Fabulous Ambiente, nice waitresses and competent bartender. We talked multiple times during our night out with one of the bartenders and it... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
