The area
Neighbourhood: Malá Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

The Little Quarter Bridge Tower is the stunning Tower that brings you into the Lesser Town ( Mala Strana ) district of Prague when you cross over Charles Bridge.
Constructed by 1466 under the reign of King George of Podebrady, this amazing looking Tower stands just over 43 metres high and is one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the city, for a small fee you can ascend the tower wich offers great views of both the Vltava River and Old Town plus Old Town Bridge Tower the other side of Charles Bridge, arguably one of the most beautiful bridges in the world,if you're planning a holiday to Prague I highly recommend you visit Little Quarter Bridge Tower in the Lesser Town.

This is at the foot of the Charles Bridge by the Lesser Town on the side of the river where the Prague Castle is located. Really vibrant and fun part of Prague.

When you cross over Charles Bridge from the Old Town and head over to the Lesser Town ( Mala Strana ) ,you enter the Lesser Town through the Little Quarter Bridge Tower .
The Little Quarter Bridge Tower ( lesser Town Bridge Tower ) is a wonderful looking tower ,parts of the tower date from the 12th century ,it's a great example of Romanesque style architecture ,a very evocative looking structure ,for a small fee you can ascend to the top of the tower that offers wonderful views of the stunning Charles Bridge and the beautiful architecture of both the Lesser Town and the Old Town plus great views of the magnificent River Vltava ,it's such a photogenic building ,my twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around the Lesser Town and passed the bridge tower ,snow falling ,night falling ,the tower bridge looked amazing,I took a few photos before moving on to the pub ,if you're planning a holiday to Prague it's a bridge tower to most definitely check out.

Each side of the bridge has a tower. The one on this side isn’t considered as great as the one on the other side but it’s great. It’s super old and looks amazing. It’s so great that these things are still standing. What a great city.

These were the best parts of visiting the bridge, the towers at either end of it... Exciting features that fire the imagination. Well worth seeing.

On either side of the magnificent Charles Bridge are two towers ,The Old Town Bridge Tower and this tower known as The Little Quarter Bridge Tower or alternatively The Lesser Town Bridge Tower ,this is the tower you will enter the Lesser Town ( Mala Strana ) of Prague through if you cross over Charles Bridge.
This tower is the smaller of the two towers, parts of the tower date from the 12th century ,it's a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture at it's best, such a photogenic tower especially at night,it's like stepping back in time when viewed at night ,makes for some great photographic opportunities ,if you're planning a trip to Prague I highly recommend you check out Little Quarter Bridge Tower .

It is the lower and older of the two towers framing the famous Charles Bridge on the Malá Stranka side. It is older than Charles Bridge itself, it was already built with the previous bridge, the Judith Bridge. It is nice to view from outside and take photos. In opposite to the higher and newer tower, it is not possible to go inside or to the top.

Narrow streets, quaint shops, ancient city by US standards. This is a beautiful stroll in the shadow of the Prague Castle.
