Graphite Mine - Grafitovy Dul Cesky Krumlov - wow experience, really off the beaten path experience for me.

Fun trip in a real mine. Informative and Entertaining. Good for families. The history of the Graphite mine in Cesky Krumlov goes way back. Allow for a bit over an hours tour, mostly walking, dressed upon protective wear over your own cloths. Parking available on...More

Visited out of curiosity on a wet day. Was much better than we expected and we enjoyed it. Much of the fun is in the dressing up and riding on a small train down in to the mine. It is rather cool in the mine...More

We were provided with old ripped overalls with broken zips, boots and miners hats complete with lamp, then taken 1Km on a little train down underground to a derelict and dilapidated mine shaft where we shown such exciting exhibits as a ventilation fan and some...More

The visit of Graphite Mine was a very unusual experience. The closes you get, the helmet and the lantern made were very exciting. You get to the mine in some kind of train, absolutely in the dark - what a luck you have a lantern....More

We visited the mine because it was rainy monday - the castle was closed. They give you coveralls, wellingtons, hard hat and a lantern. You ride on a very noisy train and you basicly see nothing because the only source of light inside the mine...More

Not bad but not exceptional experience. Might be little scary if you do not know what to expect. The guide should inform the visions openly before the tour starts.

As our planned rafting trip wasn't available, we wound up doing an unplanned visit to a graphite mine right outside Cesky Krumlov. Definitely an interesting experience. After putting on miner's boots, overalls, helmuts, and light packs, we rode on this tiny train about a mile...More

I visited the mine with my 2 children on a rainy day. The dress up with trenchcoats, gummiboots, helmet and lighting (provided by the organisation) was already fun for the kids. The ride on the little miningtrain was litteraly custom made for children. The tour...More
