Nice museum to see, definitely not “must” or at least not the first thing to do here around. Been in better and bigger ones. This one is average. I recommend it at Halloween, they have special treats.

We happened to walk by this place and decided to check it out. My husband and I love history so we thought it was real interesting. The museum has 3 floors and has alot of torture instruments from history with descriptions and pictures/drawings. It was...More

An interesting activity to do if you have some free time. I wouldn't say appropriate for children though! All self guided with a few different sections. Would take you max an hour. Can't confirm the price but from what I remember it was a great...More

Nice place to see some of the mideaval torture instruments and scare the kids a bit. Entry is 240 CZK for a family. Takes about 30 mins.

This museum is located in the Old Town Square (ignore the map in the Trip Advisor app - I'm not sure where it was trying to send me). It takes you underground into a dungeon-like complex that has a number of scenes of torture. There...More

€6 entry fee and very worth it. Just a random little place to spend 30 mins to witness some of the not so pleasant torture tools used throughout history. Has a dungeon feel to it, and it's a little novel idea if you're into things...More

The Museum of torture instruments is actually quite a treat, and much better than both me and my boyfriend had imagined beforehand. For me, who loves both history and gory horror movies (especially "Hostel", which was shot in Cesky Krumlov), it was close to perfect...More

Visited the museum with my family, 4 of us, excluding the VERY RUDE cashier that made me pay again for my ticket that I bought in the wax museum. The museum is very interesting.

As this type of exhibit goes, it's pretty good. It is genuinely creepy. The exhibit runs in the underground cellars under the town hall and follows a bunch of narrow corridors, stairs etc rather than being in a series of rooms. It is basically a...More
