A true little gem of a time capsule! Charming and quaint, still relatively unspoiled, but tourists have discovered it, Several coach loads of day trippers were unloading when we drove in. Delightful views and lovely old buildings with winding cobbled streets.

Absolutely beautiful, pretty little streets, awesome buildings, massive effort to present this amazing place, quirky little shops, toys like 60's toys, some things overpriced, others not, restaurants, river, castle built on a rock, cobbled streets, visit the mirror maze, wow so much fun.

This scenic, beautiful town is located along a bend in the Vltava River. There is a large castle with a functioning Baroque Theater sitting on the hill above the city. Castle tours are available. There are small restaurants and shops along the narrow, inviting streets....More

Well worth the 3 hour train ride from Prague. Wish we'd stayed overnight! The village is walkable, scenic, quaint, and full of history.

Idyllic village of the Middle Ages so beautiful and well preserved, like Tallin in Estonia, Carcasonne in France or Óbidos in Portugal. To walk along it's streets is like walking in the clouds in a dream came true. The Historic Center has beautiful houses, several...More

As I mentioned in a review of the castle, I believe the entire town is a UNESCO Heritage Site, and rightfully so. It is a perfectly preserved slice of history, complete with shops, restaurants, churches, squares and bridges that meander across the river. And don't...More

The cobblestone town square is surrounded by architecturally beautiful buildings and has a tall plague monument right in the middle of it. From the square, many streets can be explored. The river surrounds the town and separates it from the castle area. It is so...More

After so many positive and glowing reviews, it is difficult to add any original comments, except to stress that the most unique feature of Cesky Krumlov Old Town is its location on and around the busy Vltava River! The unique ox-bow s-bends of the river...More

Great and easy town to walk explore. One full day enough in autumn when it is too cool for river activities. During the day was pretty busy with tourists, much quieter at night.
