Small red castle, ideal for romantic photos. Interested guided tour. Walk around castle (lake) to enjoy romantic views on the castle. There is also possibility to rent a horse to ride for children.

This small red castle located on small rock in the middle of pond looks like from fairytale. But if you enjoy guided tour, you probably can imagine how sad was history of our county in twentieth century.

Lovely small castle in a lakeside and fores uhted setting. Worth a visit just for the photography.
Take a walk around the lake and you will get some great pix with beautiful reflections.
Quite a busy place on a Tuesday afternoon; parking was 60kc about 5 mins walk from the castle. Plenty of dodgy souvenir shops on the walk up; just ignore them.
Predominantly local Czech tourists when we were there.
It was well worth spending an hour and a half here.

As a desert rose the small red castle shines between the trees, like from a fairy tale, from your dreams:-)...
Very nice interiors. A unique monument!!!
There is a pond around it but for a long time, it is without water. For this time forget about a romantic boat ride.
A footpath around the pond... Be aware that the part of it is not suitable for prams.
Parking near the castle.

Castle was closed when we visited in the shoulder season. However, the setting was sufficiently beautiful, and the lack of visitors gave us the opportunity to enjoy the nature and peace.

Beautiful small red castle. Gorgeous both on the outside and inside. Take a walk around the lake for stunning views and pictures. Takes no more than 30-40 minutes. So you might as well buy your tickets to visit the interiors of the castle and instead of waiting at the court yard for your tour, take a walk round the lake.

The castle is very cozy, beautiful nature around. Not very convenient to get to it and parking costs 60 CZK but it's worth it.

While the setting of the castle seems to be its most appreciated feature, encouraging you to take countless pictures while you're walking around the pond or rowing a rented boat, it is definitely worth seeing from the inside as well. The rooms are furnished in early 20th century style, the time when the last owners lived here, offering a peek into the life of the nobility at that time. The guides really know their stuff and seem to be genuinely in love with the place.

The castle is not large compared to many others in South Bohemia but is is cosy and unique. We were lucky to visit the castle at night during a special annual event, with paths lit with candles, row boats with lanterns and a concert held in the courtyard under the stars. It was magical.

Lovely place, wonderful setting of the house in the small lake and garden. Another site checked off of "PEXESO" :)

Ignore the reviews about language.....you rate one star because you visit a country and they don't speak your language?!!! Ridiculous!!!!

The castle is small but the surrounding landscape is beautiful and you don't have to pay a fee to just walk around the castle. There are snacks available in the area and lots of souvenirs. You can also rent a boat and paddle around the lake. We didn't take the tour but the experience was quite nice.
