I've been to a number of event at Newcastle City hall, from Balls, to Seminars and Weddings and the venue never disappoints! Beautiful heritage façade with great service packages every time!

新堡(Newcastle)是新南威爾斯州的第二大城,不過城市的規模比起雪梨小了很多。若有計劃到新堡的話,可以使用新南威爾斯州的電子車票卡 Opal Card。目前有週日出遊整天車費只要 $2.5的優惠(去藍山也划算!)。從雪梨搭火車到新堡單程約需3小時。 新堡是一個沿著河口發展出來的中部港都,主要是出口煤礦,吞吐量是澳洲前幾的樣子。有海的話就免不了有海灘,當地居民很愛衝浪,城市氣氛悠閒。 事先功課沒做好,一直以為這城市應該是有個城堡、蠻優雅充滿歷史氣息的城市。殊不知它之所以叫 Newcastle 是因為這城市產煤,所以就學著英國的煤都命名。 新堡是一個適合休閒、散心的城鎮,所以如果對它抱有太多大都市的期望的話,可能會有點失望。但是這邊的居民遇到的都十分友善,店員也是。不過請注意目前新堡有建設輕軌電車的公眾工程,搭火車的話需要在Wickham站下車,再轉公車到市中心。 Newcastle is a lovely local city which located approximately in the middle of New South Wales' coastline. This is one of Newcastle's grandest old buildings. Marble stone steps inside lead up to the main hall which can seat perhaps 400. There are also rooms underneath which can be used for conferences etc. It is beautiful venue for a wedding reception or ball....More
