Not for the faint hearted. Ensure that the weather is checked well in advance as the time of year for climbing can be severely dented by mist, rain and severe afternoon thunderstorms but definitely something to do on the bucket list.
The walk to the chain ladders is fairly strenuous and certain areas are a little treacherous but there are invariably ways around these sections. The climb is definitely worth it. One of South Africa's Jewels. Guides are available if help is needed.
This chain ladder was quite the challenge but so worth the effort! The scenery at the top is breathtakingly beautiful. A lot of families with small kids also used the ladder although I will not recommend it😕Overnight on the mountain is must☺
