Coming from Singapore which has a great zoo focusing on animal welfare as a priority, I was disappointed with Taman Safari Prigen. The animals enclosure were very boring with nothing to keep them occupied. Most animals were ust pacing up & down (Not a good sign). We went to Tiger cave restaurant & was shocked to see a white tiger & sumatran tiger housed together in a glass enclosure which was small! The white tiger was aggressive to the yellow tiger making it stressed as it jumped from one area to another as the white tiger kept chasing it away.

For an animal lover point of view, it was depressing to see this! I quickly left the restaurant.

I didn't enjoy this zoo experience as animal welfare is more important for me. I hope the zoo will make it a more animal friendly attraction

My first experience of feeding animal from the vehicle. My son truly enjoy it so much, and it too bring the reminiscences of the first Jurassic park movie .

The tiger show was great and miss out some show which i believe its should be good

Ok let’s be serious though. All the panda photos on the website you’ll never see the panda like this. It is in an enclosure that is so far away that none of your cell phones will pick it up unless you have a zoom lens and a professional camera. Also to see it awake it’s highly unlikely. And they will try to sell you VIP window so you can see it closer up. Complete waste and cash of time although the restaurant and food was pretty good. The drive-through safari was OK you’re able to feed some animals carrots from your hand which is pretty cool. But good luck getting photos of the tigers and lions unless your windows are completely clean because they don’t allow your windows down when you drive through.

Generally worth a visit, even thought the place is slightly over an hour's drive from the city. Some of the positives:
+ Interesting drive-through experience
+ Plenty to see and experience - just about enough for a full-day visit
+ Other activities available in addition to seeing the animals
+ Good variety of shows and performances
+ Animals generally look well taken care of
+ Friendly staff

We did however encounter some issues with language as foreign visitors though, as some of the staff members could only communicate in Bahasa. The shows and performances were also all done in Bahasa, and that was largely the main and only drawback we encountered.

Taman Safari Prigen is the largest animal conservation in south east asia. Since it is located in the slope of Mt. Arjuna, it has fresh & cool air. Since the space is larger than the one in bogor, the amount of animals looks smaller & scatter.

Many animals attractions. My kids love baby zoo, Australia Zone & dolphin show.

Too bad that there is no bus or vehicle facility that allowed us to ride into the upper zone as majority of the amusement zones are on the upper side so that it push us to 'climb' the mountain.
So it's hard for the family with smaller kids to enjoy to the fullest.

The suggestion is to make it more in order like the one in Bogor that kids friendly to allow them to enjoy to the fullest

The safari park is the most convenient place for me to vacation after the final semester exam. Already go here 2 times. Many animals vary, from Indonesia and outside Indonesia such as Africa and Australia. Wild animals make it more exciting, so visitors can interact closer to animals. Like feeding giraffe and elephants. Apart from giving food on animals, there are also very exciting and funny animal shows.

Taman Safari provides POOR habitat for the Otters!
One of the biggest problems with keeping Otters safe in captivity is the quality of the water. If there is too much bacteria found in it they will die. It doesn’t take long for large numbers of them to be killed off this way. Even a build up of urine and feces in the water from the Otters can result in it. Therefore constant cleaning of their environment is very important.

Very exciting safari park. Very well organised. We started at 1.30 pm. Since it was in February, not many tourist around. We could see the animals clearly. For certain wild animals, they have the automatic gate system and the park ranger in his vehicle follows your vehicle to ensure to ensure you do not wait too long while seeing the wild animals. Watching and feeding the the tame animals such as deer, zebras and elephants. At 4 pm, there is a tiger show. Unfortunately we could watch it for 3 minutes only as it started to rain heavily. Next was the Stuntman show. Supposed to start at 5 pm but since the tiger show was cancelled, the stuntman show started at 4.30m. Very good indeed. About 45 minutes of sheer entertainment. Children will really enjoy it. At some stages, it will be mind boggling because there will 4 or 5 scenes taking place simultaneously. Feast for the eyes. See it to enjoy it.
