It is a special experience this road, like "must see"! The road was rehabilitated and offers unforgettable images and panorama of mountains, valley, abyss, also wild animals, specific life! Go for it!

Good drive but excellent views. You are on top of the mountains here and the scenery is breathtaking. Too bad that wintertime is closed off as the scenery would be even more exciting.

What a fabulous road. Long sweeping valley curves; above the tree line and into frosty shrubs. The road is in good condition, the assessment is relative :) if you get off on scenuc drives this is a must do.

TransAlpina road, known also as DN67C is the highest road in Romania, one of the most spectacular roads of the Carpathian Mountains. The TransAlpina road offers breathtaking views alongside an amazing driving excitement. Make sure to plan your visit late May through end of October (weather permitting), during winter TransAlpina road is shut.

If you want some great views of the Carpathians mountains but actually driving your car through them at the highest altitude you can go by car, 2145 meters, then Transalpina is the best choice! You can also have some traditional lunch at a Sheep Station close to the top! Have fun!

It's not a long trip but you must drive slowly getting the best of surrounding. Nothing is the same, every view is different. On... More

I have spent one day on a trip on the Transalpina. Starting from Rânca till Stâna Ștefan. The scenery is breath-taking, changing at every curve of the road. The fog comes and goes, in a perpetual alternation with the sun. It looks like a good road for bykers, a new road. Drive carefully and slowly and enjoy the scenery, the... More
