When coming down the hill from town, we walked around the wall, crossed the street, and through the opening. However, climbing the stairs gives another vantage point all together and captures kids' imaginations.

It was and it is one of the entrances to the town. Remains in use and cars and people cross every single day through it.

Start from the road end and you only have to do up 4 steps. If you start from the right of the arch, you have to go up lots of high steps.

I tell you now I never talk about food or Resturants so for me to write this is really something. We had no idea about this place. 6 of us went in because some had to use a bathroom and we had to eat anyway....More

There is more to Ronda than the bridge. Do walk around the old city and down to the city walls and this Arab gate into the city. It's worth a detour. Also you are close here to some good tapas (De LocoTapas).

Our Air BnB was just on the other side so we went though this almost every day. It was amazing to see intact, very tight to get your car though ;)

This arch and small section of the wall either side is the most complete & picturesque part of the old wall, you can also walk along the top.

The medieval walls, with numerous gates and Islamic arches, high defensive towers and long stretches of impregnable stone wall that surround the old city and would take at least an hour to walk around.

This Arab/Medieval gate was once the main entry into the old city of Ronda. It is still a very impressive structure. You can climb to the ramparts for a view of the Old City.

The puerta brings you back in time, it's a must see like all the other old buildings in Ronda. It's also very quiet in this neighbourhood (when we were here)
