It was a great experience to see the main sigths, the New Bridge, churches, squares, Town Hall etc. We enjoyed walking in narrow streets and looking the nice old houses. The view was incredible, no words to say anything. You must see it!Visited December 2022Written 22 January 2023

Beautiful cobbled, pathways, winding alleyways and churches. There is a Plaza with a lovely bar and restaurant and further down the ramparts of the old town and the main gate into this part of Ronda.Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 11 April 2023

Unfortunately thousands of tourists as well which is a bit of a downer. I think from cruise ships in Malaga. But donāt be put off by that. Some good restaurants as well.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 31 October 2023

This is pleasant but there are better old cities in Spain. It all seems to be there for the tourists but it is an enjoyable wander.

On the opposite side quieter and steeper lots of cobbled streets easy to get a little lost but that's when you find things of interest

Monday 9th May and we visited the delightful mountain town of Ronda.
Having seen the two major and most stunning obvious attractions of the New Bridge and the El Tajo de Ronda, we set off exploring
We walked around the streets of the Town sightseeing and discovering the numerous treasures along the way.
We strolled around the impressive Murallas de la Cijara, old City Walls, which led us under the Arco Felipe V.
Along every street and around every corner there was something to see perhaps, an old Church, an Minaret, a statue, a fountain, a tiled mural and so much more. Another feature is the array of beautiful old buildings that line the streets.
From various points around the Town there were beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding countryside.

Lovely walking through the narrow alleyways , plenty of refreshment stops around, and the odd guitarist playing a serenade.
You appreciate the age of the city as you wander.

We drove up from Calahonda for the day. The winding and climbing road tops out around 1100 metres above sea level before descending into Ronda. The scenery is spectacular. We parked about a 10 minute walk from the centre which was very easy. Expect to pay about ā¬15 for a days parking. Our first stop was the tourist Information next to the bull ring. There is so much to see that a tourist map is really valuable. The centre of Ronda is not very big and everything can be seen if you don't mind walking. There are cafes and restaurants everywhere so plenty of opportunities for a break. A full day allows you to see everything with a handful of selected places to spend time going into. If you wanted to do much more you really need a second day. This is especially so if you follow some of the walks going down below the city. I felt we needed a second day even though we did nearly 15000 steps. Ronda is one of the most beautiful cities you are likely to see in Spain and really should not be missed if you are in Andulcia.
