The Mirador de Aldehuela is located right next to Pont Neuf in the Old Town. The view is splendid, with the bridge, river gorges and cliffside houses in the more modern part. If you have the opportunity to get there early in the morning, you will be treated to the sunrise with beautiful colors.

I'm sure thousands of tourists have admired the views from Mirador de Aldehuela without realizing they were at Mirador de Aldehuela.

Mirador de Ronda (see my review "Spectacular countryside") and Mirador Puente Nuevo de Ronda are far better known.

Mirador de Aldehuela abuts Puente Nuevo, the town's spectacular "Old Bridge." It offers nice views of the "back" of the bridge and down into the El Tajo Gorge. See those terraces across the gorge? That's Jardines de Cuenca, a great way to see all three famous Ronda bridges in one walk. (See my review "Three bridges, one pathway.")

Street musicians were playing as we stood at Mirador de Aldehuela, and this place is probably the Selfie Capitol of Ronda, with Puente Nuevo just behind your shoulders. Have to wonder, though, how many iPhones are at the bottom of El Tajo Gorge!

It is located right next to the bridge and from here there is a great view of the steep canyon of the river. It is free to visit, and you can see a large part of the new city.

The best view in Ronda of the El Tajo , Puente Nuevo, and the River Guadalvin . Spectacular no matter what direction you look! It has the beautiful white washed town as its backdrop. Not to be missed!!

This is the best side of the bridge, far quieter, less tourists and more beautiful views. Although a little effort is required to walk down and then up again and rather difficult to trace the start, it is well worth taking the time to do. It took us an extra hour or so to walk slowly and take in the lovely views. We walked a circular route.

This lookout point is right next to the bridge. You have birds eye view of the bridge ... houses sit atop the cliff edge and rolling hills afar.

Best sunrise viewing point in the morning.

The Mirador of Sldehuela was named in honour of the architect José Martin de Aldehuela who was responsible for the design of the Puente Nuevo and Ronda’s Bullring. It is located in between the Old City end of the Puente Nuevo and the Casa de Congresos, this viewpoint affords spectacular vistas of the Tajo gorge and the river Guadalevin running through it. The Cuenca Gardens, Puente Viejo, eastern Ronda and the surrounding countryside can also be seen looking down the gorge.

Looking across the gorge one sees more of the new town of Ronda (la Mercadilla); the Puente Nuevo, the Plaza España, the Parador and, perhaps, part of the Bullring, are also visible to the north.

Needless to say, a camera is a must to take advantage of these superb views.

Thanks for reading this and if you've found it helpful I'd appreciate a ‘thumbs up’ below.

Just by luck we passed by and toke a stroll to the viewpoint. Has amazing views easy to reach. As it was a bit cloudy the view was on one side a bit shorter.

The Mirador de Aldehuela takes a bit of effort to find but it’s absolutely worth it. Enjoy the Main Square and pick any of several restaurants after walking back up.

This mirador is just over the new bridge. Immediately turn left and you see the gate in front of the convent. You get great views of the countryside and of the old bridge and the gorge.
