Some fantastic walking trails around the area. It should be noted that students do not get concession into the park so its $12 per car.

Waited here for my wife as she did the Oxfam trail walkers event. Realised that the stuff o he always heard about is just in here - great trails, the rail tunnel, picnic areas etc. Was really just visiting & waiting, but am resolved to come back for a more serious walk.

Visited this park before we need to head for the airport. My husband and I drove to the park. Paid entry fees of A$12 for car & 2 pax. The old train path is very accessible. We also walked a bit on the Eagle trail which leads into the forest. Came across several birds and a rodent which we cannot... More

The waterfall is beautiful (and only a short walk) and we had fun rock hopping. It would be a great place to spread out a picnic. It is peaceful here and gives... More

Nice walk along the heritage trail past a couple of waterfalls. It the old train line and at the end of the trail is the old train tunnel you can walk though. Completely flat paths so good for everyone and nice picnic area in the middle.

So if you enjoy bush walking on a medium distance, John Forrest National Park is a good place to explore. There are several trails inside the park, the short ones are the wild flower trail, the national waterfall trail, or the horse trail. These are the ones in the range of 5 km. If you want to add more of... More

Lovely nature walks and views overlooking the city. Unreal feeling of being out of the city and into the wilderness.
