- JudyrosArlington Heights, Illinois81 contributionsGreat vibes, no bathroomsThis takes place at the Rincon Plaza Every Thursday, set up starts around 6-6:30. We arrived at 6:40 per taxi, 1 mile was $15 one way for two ppl.No Ubers in Rincon. The local artisans were setting up their little areas. You just walk along n see everything for sale, jewelry, crochet items, arts ,etc. There’s a lot to see n shop from. There’s was live music when we went n I heard on some nights there’s DJs. I truly enjoyed it. You have to find a spot to sit at, there’s some benches n cement stoops at front of stage. There’s lots of locals n expats attending. Nice friendly n happy vibe. Cons: There’s no bathrooms, so you have to go into a nearby business to use the bathroom. Ppl say merchants don’t mind if you use their bathrooms, but we felt awkward doing that so we just bought a beer whenever we had to use their facilities. We went Co.lectivo, aka Rincón beer company , the whole time and it’s right across the street from the plaza n behind the stage. The food there smells amazing n their Pizza was selling out, so it must be good! I highly recommendVisited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 March 2024
- Jim TAustin, Texas1,172 contributionsRincon Art WalkHeld every Thursday evening, this is a fun event with live music and dozens of artisan art for sale, from handcrafted items such as jewelry to paintings to magnets and soap and just about anything one can think of. Mostly located in and around the central plaza area, parking can be difficult, so either have a plan or get there early. Grab a seat at a restaurant with a view of the action and watch the passing parade.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 1 June 2024
- Linda E51 contributionsThe Rincon Thing on Thursday nightsThis was so much fun. The town square was filled with people. There were 50 tables set up by local artists - jewelry makers, woodworkers, painters etc. Every restaurant, bar and store was open til 10:00 or later. Music was playing at the central gazebo. We were there from 5:00 onwards, it was great. A real local thing.Visited December 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 December 2024

Thursday nights for street art fair at the town Square in Rincon. Definitely up and running, although not well publicized and no current website that I could find. Vendors seem to set up around 6 PM. We grabbed a couple pints across the street at at Rincon Beer Company to watch the set up, then had it over once the plaza was full of vendors. Something for everyone here! From hand made bracelets and better jewelry, paintings to suit all tastes and budgets, soaps oils and lotions, all sorts of baby hand knit items and toys, wooden creations galore, appreciative but not pushy artists fill the town square. Grab dinner and make an evening of it.

I loved it! Leave Thursdays after 5pm open! Arrive close to 5pm, as you can. The place gets packed. Parking and traffic gets tight, the closer you get to 5pm, and after. There are Artisans, and, people everywhere. This area gets filled with arts and crafts, people selling there stuff. Jewelry, made out of different items. Wood carved items. Baked goods. Leather goods etc. So much stuff to look at, and buy. There was live music entertainment. It was a nice night out. Enjoy!

The Art Walk takes place every Thursday evening in the Rincon Plaza. There are a lot of vendors selling local arts, jewelry, paintings, food etc. All the vendors are very friendly and no one pushes you to buy anything. They also have live music. It is a very safe, lively and fun event. Be careful about parking, though. If you are in a no parking zone, you will get ticketed.

Lovely handmade crafts and jewelry from local artists available here. There were about 25 to 30 vendors who started to set up between 5 and 6pm on the square. Looks like they start setting up between 5 and 6pm on Thursdays. Many artists use local and recycled materials in their art which makes for pretty cool souvenirs and gifts.

What a fun way to spend a little time in the evening. Local art, local people to visit with and local music. One of the best places to buy a reminder of your trip to PR. Lots of fun vendors...some selling very good art, jewelry and pottery and some selling fun things to take back to children. If you're in Rincon on Thursday night don't miss this activity.

We had a wonderful time walking around and looking at the different artists and their creations. It was SUPER humid so we didn't spend as much time as we would have if it had been a little less hot and humid.
Definitely worth checking out!

The town center gets hopping on Thursdays for the Art Walk! It's super fun to walk around and check out the vendors, great for souvenirs. There is music and all the restaurants around the plaza are busy, but fun! You get to meet the person next to you, while enjoying a beer or cocktail. If you are in Rincon on a Thursday, don't miss this event!

This is a must if you are in Rincon! So many fabulous vendors with unique items! We bought a beautiful art canvas! If you google this the internet is saying it is closed due to Covid and it is not closed. It starts at 5. I would be there by 7 because all the vendors are set up by that time. Highly recommend!!

Find Aqua Viva's space - their artwork is amazing and such a great value. My daughter and I really enjoyed it.

The art walk sounds cool! Can you tell me if most of the local businesses are open? Or have many of them closed due to lack of tourism after Hurricane Maria?
Written 14 January 2019
Hi, most businesses are open, and the art walk is thriving. You can do a great service by patronizing the local businesses all while getting some unusual hand crafted and unique items.

Does anyone know how to get hold of the wood carver who makes collapsible buildings from 1 piece of wood?
