I drove an elderly lady to Tulip Top Gardens on an outing. Very easy to park in disabled parking. Absolutely beautifully set out. We thought it was better than Floriade. Free coffee and tea available. Easy to walk around.
I took my parents, wife and 4 year old and it was a great day. The gardens are well thought out and being a permanent garden (but only open for part of the year) it has allowed for great grassy areas and good tree cover...More
A glorious display of colour from bulbs, blossom trees, forsythia hedges laid out in a tranquil setting. The patchwork of different tree foliage - colours and textures was lovely. I liked the simpler less commercial approach compared with Floriade - fewer shops and simpler refreshments...More
My wife's sister-in-law suggested we visit Tulip Top Gardens after we said we quite enjoyed Floriade. These gardens are just outside Canberra and have an entry fee of $18 per adult with $1 pensioner discount (!) available. The gardens extend over many, many acres and...More
Every time I go to Floriade in Canberra, I stop here too. By far Tulip Top Gardens are the preferred choice. Lots of flowering fruit trees, tulips, daffodils, pansies. Absolutely stunning. Only opens for one month per year usually mid Sept to mid October. Free...More
A beautiful garden that really does take your breath away as it is so well done. The floral display of not only Tulips but other trees and plants is truly amazing. It is a shame that it is only open in spring. They do have...More
The gardens are only a minutes drive from Canberra and are only open at the same time as Floriade. Floriade is more commercial and temporary, Tulip Top has better signage so you know the names of the tulip bulbs. The displays are on level ground...More
An amazing floral display. Not only an amazing array of glorious blooms but the numerous blossoming trees in whites, pinks & yellows are a stunning backdrop.
And it is wonderful that the grounds encourage picnics and are dog friendly. There is also food & drink...More
There is an entry fee, but it is worth every cent. It is a glimpse of Holland's Keukenhof Gardens here in Australia. You walk down and path and there is the valley with masses of many coloured tulips, and avenues of flowering crabapple floribunda trees...More
We visited this place after reading several relatively poor reviews of Floriade. I haven’t been to Floriade for several years. This was my first visit here and it certainly provides a great floral display with loads of tulips groupings and peach blossom trees in full...More
