All the wonderful things other reviewer say about this castle are true. The tour was excellent; the scenery is gorgeous. It is very interesting to see so many different eras of history, decoration, technology, etc., present in one building. The tour guide pointed out a...More

If you visit the Mosel you owe it to yourself to visit Burg Eltz. It is one of the best sites to visit in Germany. The castle was the oldest continually occupied castle in Europe until the mid 1980s. It is my understanding that the...More

Burg Eltz is really amazing, we have been many times, it’s a short walk from the car park. The guided tour is great and informative. Can highly recommend it.

This 12th century castle is absolutely beautiful! We took the longer route, which was nice and scenic, except you couldn't see the castle until the very last minute of the 20 minute hike (downward). We got there when it closed, so there weren't many tourists,...More

The drive to the castle was kind of confusing in the sense that you were driving through flat farmland and trying to reconcile the pictures of the castle. But eventually there it is, in the middle of the forest. The shuttle from the parking lot...More

This castle is like something out of a fairy tale. Parking is 2 Euro. To get to the castle, you can either take a shuttle (2 Euro per person per trip) or hike one of two ways (through the forest or down the bus path)....More

This is small hidden gem. As it is off the track it hasn't got the numbers like other castle. Nice walk through the forest until it is found. There is also a shuttle bus to it. Nice surroundings and a little river for children to...More

That castle is the The Imperial Castle in Cochem I think it has another name, but this is what comes up on the website. We didn't get to go to that one so we'll have to go back. 😊
