All of the trails in the White Mountain Trail System are great--well maintained, very well marked, and--in my experience--scenic. If you're in Pinetop, try any one of them. You could start with the Billy Creek Connector to the Blue Ridge Trail. Take a hike!

We hiked in about 2.5 miles with two dogs. Great scenery and the dogs loved it. This hike is NOT in Pinetop. It's on FR 116 near Big Lake.

We have been hiking this trail for 40 years. Yes before it was a “real Trail”. It is extremely ease to get to either from just out the back of Pinetop Lakes or down the road going to Sky-Hi at the Thompson Draw Trailhead. Now...More

beautiful area, not at all what you think Arizona should look like. More like Colorado with alpine meadows, glacial lakes, spruce and aspen. The hike follows a trout stream with opportunities to get down to the water. Hiked the trail 9/18/2016 (Sunday afternoon). Only saw...More

From SPL the drive itself is worth the time. The trail itself is great. Running water always adds to a hikes allure and but add in mountain meadows and the visual is a must see.

We took our two small dogs on this hike and they loved it as much as we did. It is a nice cool trail that offers lots of shady areas and is cool thanks to the water. This is not a difficult trail and it...More

It's an easy hike with great scenic beauty. It can be very muddy in portions by the end of the summer. There is a lot of fire damage on the hills above the trail and especially if you cross the river and continue on the...More

We did not use the trail but stopped to use the handicapped restrooms. They were spotless! Also, easy to manage in and had lots of toilet tissue. Better than some business' restrooms!

Dogs are allowed on all the White Mountain Trail System trails--they should be leashed, both for their own safety and as a courtesy to other hikers.
