When approaching the cathedral via the small bridge it doesn't really look very elaborate but then the inside is, being built on the side of the main mosque right after the conquest it does show some judeo moorish pieces like the beautifully carved ceiling in...More

The architect of this church reminded me of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, France. The building is treated well and beautifully. To enter, you need to buy a ticket.

This building offers a great deal, both inside and outside. It was definitely worth the 5 euros admission. For an additional 3 you could visit the museum. The lovely stained glass recently replaced old, via a competition. The beautiful colours reflect throughout the space, imbuing...More

A place of beauty and tranquility. Visited as the sun streamed through the modern and old stained glass windows casting rainbows of colour throughout. Stunning. The Deep Chapel and Chapterhouse must not be missed. Amazing carved wood ceilings. The art and stone / plaster carvings...More

We arrived at 5pm on a saturday and it closed at 7pm. It was almost empty and was a wonderful time to see the peacefulness and beauty of the cathedral. The modern stainglass windows are so unique and beautiful within the elaborate design of the...More

Amazed at the beauty of this cathedral, starting with its façade. Took a guided bus tour of Cuenca with my family, and enjoyed the tour starting with a stop at the Mirador del Ventano del Diablo, then proceeding to Ciudad Encantada (in the morning), and...More

Unfortunately just looking inside. Never pay 9€ to go inside a church. That's my personal opinion. Not so Manny turista this time of the year.

I can only tell you that we just spent two weeks traveling throughout Spain and Portugal and found this to be the most beautiful church we have seen. We liked it better than La Sagrada Família. My mother was moved to tears by the breathtaking...More
