Worth a visit if in town. Interesting building and Architecture, The Palacio is used for photo shoots for weddings. Plenty of street parking nearby. Quite town with pedestrian walkways with restaurants and cafes. Interesting place to stop whilst touring inland Spain.

We stopped at Guadalajara and were astonished looking at this extraordinary well decorated building both the facade and the central courtyard. You have to see to believe such masterpiece. This is the only interesting palace we could find in this place but surely not to be missed because its architecture is outstanding high.

I visited the 15th century Palacio del Infantado on a sunny afternoon and was again blown away by the rich history of this area. My visit was quick and I did not get to visit the museum as it was not open. My hotel is nearby and I felt safe wandering around the gardens and surrounding area alone.

Visited Guadalajara for a couple of hours en route to Madrid-Barajas. A "normal" town with no significant tourist activities, meaning cafes etc. are real and for the locals. The Palacio is a big, impressive building and is the principal tourism attraction in the city.

As time was moving towards the 2pm close, we only saw the main building and atrium. This is definitely one of the most beautiful and intact ornate palace structures in Spain. The detail is amazing, and I wish we had had longer to explore....we'll be back!

To be honest, I did not expect to see lots of things in Guadalajara and I just wanted to go there and relax. However, as I crossed the downtown, I saw this museum and since it was sunday, it was also offering free visit(till 2PM). Well ... I should say that it for sure worths a visit, even if you... More

historical building, great architecture worth visiting if like us our coach stopped for a break other than that would suggest that you ask the coach driver to bypass this town! not worth making the effort just for this one tourist spot, if there is more then the local tourist info are not doing their job, really struggling to find anything... This marvellous palace was the home of Mendoza family, who held the title of "Dukes of the Infantado", which gives the name to the palace. This noble family was one of the most influential ones in Spain during the 15th and 16th centuries. To show the importance of this palace, Philip The Second (Felipe II), probably the most powerful king... More
