- Karen D7 contributionsDisappointingOverpriced. Several slides not open and no warning or mention of this at time of booking. Only one food/drinks shop open and we had to queue for an hour just for drinks. No separate queue of drinks. Short staffed in this food/drinks restaurant. Pavements in poor condition in places. Some areas dirty. We were very disappointed. Thanks for your review and your visit. Regarding the areas closed due to internal park operations, they are always updated on the website, in the "plan your visit" section. This has been indicated since the park opened. Even so, we take note to improve in the future. - claireeliza222United Kingdom11 contributionsDay spent queuing in unshaded queuesWent here with my family of 5. The price was expensive but thought it would be worth it for my kids and who does not like a waterpark? Firstly, queuing for hours in an unshaded queue is not anyone's idea of fun. We queued for three hours and managed to get on three rides. The rest of the time was spent queuing for food - a 45 min wait with only one food booth open. The shop prices were extortionate - please use the supermarket outside. Would not recommend at all, don't pay all that money to spend all day queuing in the blistering heat. Thanks for your visit and comment. We regret that we did not meet your expectations. - Edward Hall13 contributionsDismal Waterpark for the Rip Off PriceWent 6th July 2023, paid €32 to get into the waterpark, then it's €11 for a locker (€5 returned when leaving) and I paid for the fastpass which was €18. The fastpass was the same price whether done online or on the day. From my experience of the fastpass, I would even buy it, as we'll come on later in the review. And if you wanted to, I would just buy it on the day as quieter days will mean not much queues. I got there at 10:15 and the water park was getting pretty full and by time 11:30 came, the queues for some of the slides was ridiculous. So my advice is to get there as soon as it opens to get your ample amount of times on the slides you want. As mentioned, I had paid for the fastpass and it honestly made no difference what so ever. Complete waste of money. Most of the really popular rides didn't even have a fastpass separate line so everyone was queued whether standard or fastpass. The ride attendants didn't even care. So in all, it was a pretty pointless option to buy and for the price, you would expect a bit better than what it was. It wasn't just me as quite a few people who had fastpass had to wait in the normal queue. They have a wave pool which starts around half 12 and finishes around half 2, from what I could understand from the information board. The steps to all the rides are all metal steps and if not, it was concrete which could do with a major redoing as it was quite awkward walking on it. And when the sun is out and it's hot, expect your feet to start being barbequed. You can take flip flops but they have to be left at the bottom of the steps or end of the slide. If you wanted a sunlounger, you had to pay to use them which was €5 per bed or you could lay on the grass which is around the park for free and there is some shade from the trees they have. I didn't test the food however the prices were ridiculous (which is usually common inside attractions) compared to outside the park and that's the same for water, coke and energy drinks. If you're staying in Arenal, there is a cut through where you can walk to the waterpark but you do have to cross a partially busy road but easy enough to get across. The number 23 which runs from Palma via Playa de Palma and Arenal takes you straight to the park and costs €2 each including kids (you need exact change!) So I had paid €56 for just myself. For a family would mean around €200 if you bought the fastpass and I would say it's definitely not worth the money. But if you want to kill a few hours and not as frugal with money and being ripped off, then go thereThank you very much for your opinion, we are sorry that you did not enjoy the park. As indicated in the conditions and occurs on the beaches, for example, additional services such as hammocks are paid separately. The park has large areas where you can relax in the shade. We take note of your comments to try to improve. - derravaragh119 contributionsCould do with some shadeWe went as a family of 10 with young children aged 4,2, and 9 months. We based ourselves by the childrens pool. I strongly suggest that some shade in this area for young children is addressed. It would make the experience more pleasant . There was very little shade in the whole park.Thank you for your visit and feedback, we take note to improve in a future. - Lee B1 contributionAwfulThis is an absolutely terrible day, far too expensive for what you get, and the entire experience was marred by the fact that the staff were incompetent advising us to get home, with our five year old daughter. The food was far too expensive, and really bad. Gave me a terrible stomachache, which again ruin most of all day. I seriously advise against anybody going here. Thanks for your visit and comments. - Sara MGlasgow, United Kingdom18 contributionsQueues queues and some more queuesThere are good rides here and loads for younger kids. I wish I read reviews and properly prepared , bring your own food! The queues for food were terribly long for expensive crap food. We had a 'gold' ticket which wasn't worth it as had wait ages for small 'free' drink and ice cream. The 'free' gift was crap ball on elastic but elastic broke on both kids toys straight away. The fast passes are prob worth it as queues are way too long, this was a Monday visit too. I don't like the idea of fast passes though as they are rich privilege idea that allows park to make more money and cause more queues. I also had nowhere to fill my water bottle without waiting and paying for bottle of water. I managed 3 or 4 rides being there all day. In hindsight I would take food and cool bag and prob buy the fast passes. It would be expensive though. Queues move slowly too. Wave pool only went twice while there and it was too busy to go in with young onesThank you for your visit and feedback, we take note to improve in a future. - Chanel C2 contributionsFast pass don’t bother !We are a family of 5 and went to Aqua land for a day we payed for 5 adult tickets and 5 fast passes, considering we bought fast passes which were a COMPLETE waste of money it was an expensive day out. There were a limited number of rides which the fast pass actually worked on, rides towards the back of the park had no separation between fast pass and non fast pass in the queue unless you were willing to fight your way up steps full of people with a rubber ring in hand the spray painted line on the way up the stairs just doesn’t work to separate the line, very disappointing considering the money we spent . To furthermore add to this disappointing experience there was a limited menu available and there were advertisements of some dishes which weren’t even available. The main attraction advertised ‘king cobra’ had a queue which flooded the steps from top to bottom and the fast pass wrist band did this no justice we didn’t even bother waiting. We visited this water park a few years and no money has went into revamping or improving this water park whatsoever.Thank you for your visit and your opinion. We regret that it was not entirely satisfactory. - RuthStroud, United Kingdom4 contributionsGood water park - fast pass needs reviewThe park itself was great with something for everyone. However, it’s worth saying you do not need fast passes for every ride and also those that did have a fast pass queue a-sometimes the regular queue had fewer people. In addition, the queue for pizza was roughly 1 hour so be prepared for that. Do not buy the fast passes in advance as recommended on the website - have a look round the park and decide what you want to do and how many are worth buying. I did buy in advance but our tour date was changed by the operator and frankly the process for refund was convoluted to say the least.Thank you for your visit and your opinion. - emma sSouthampton, United Kingdom21 contributionsPoor value and paying to queuePaid 34 euros each to go on around 5 slides all day as the queues were so long! If you don’t buy a fast pass at an additional 32 euros each then there’s no point going (and this water park is not worth 66 euros a person!) Flumes are old and tatty and some of the staff have bad attitudes, the rides all closed at 5.30 so you can’t even take advantage of the park being quieter once the coach parties have left for the day. Also worth mentioning that you have to pay for car parking, lockers and sun beds on top of the entry price. Definitely not worth the visit and an absolute rip off.Good morning, We are sorry that you did not enjoy the attractions. As mentioned on our page, the closing time of the park in July/August is 6:00 p.m., closing the attractions half an hour before. On the other hand, all the services you mention are additional, as is the case with the sun loungers on the beaches, since we have large areas of grass and shady places where you can spend the day. - James H2 contributionsFast pass is a problemThe water park is excellent in and of itself. Massive pools and loads of decent rides. However, the fast pass system is a real issue here. We paid roughly 130 euros for entrance as a family of 4. We also had to pay separately for parking and use of lockers (about 20 euros combined) and made the mistake of not bringing a picnic, so had to buy lunch at the cost of another 90 euros. Far from an inexpensive day. But because we didn’t have fast passes (another 30+ euros per person.) we were essentially second class guests. It was impossible to get onto the rides because the fast passers dominated the place. I recall at one point I saw the same group of three teenagers ride the same slide 4 times (ride it, back up the stairs, then ride it again) whilst our regular 200 person queue moved about 3 feet forward. We abandoned trying to wait for most rides and generally just stayed in the pools. A real shame. Fast pass works well enough at theme parks, where the fast passers blend with 40 or so other people also taking their seats on a roller coaster- but on water slides, where only one person can ride at a time, it is entirely different. Basically- we’re very unlikely to return- in high season at least.. It’s not worth the money to buy fast passes, in my view, but if you don’t you might as well give up the idea of actually getting on the slides.Thank you for your visit and your opinion. Old and dangerous. Do not ride the Tornado if you value your neck. It’s poorly designed and badly supervised. Also watch out for the angry was nest as you go down the lazy river. Dev your money and health and find something els to do…

Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to the park.
We are sorry to hear that your expectations were not fully met. For our part, we regret that we did not receive any indication regarding the wasps (we understand you are referring to a wasp nest) that you reported to be in the vicinity of the Congo River. The safety of our guests is one of our top priorities.
Regarding the Tornado, we have no recorded incidents on the day of your visit. We assume, therefore, that it was not serious, as if it had been, we would have heard from the aid house.
Thank you for your feedback.

Had a brilliant day out here with 3 kids aged 6,7 and 13. We took our own snacks and few drinks for the kids and shared a pizza for lunch as the food is quite expensive which is to be expected with a captive audience. The kids had a ball and so did we! Toilets were clean and queues weren’t long. Def no need to buy a fast pass today but weekends might be different.

The reviews on this park are a bit polarising and I can understand why; but I think if you manage your expectations you’ll have a really fun day!
We got tickets in the flash sale and visited on a Sunday in September. The longest we had to wait in a queue was about 15minutes. For most slides it was <10minutes. We spent about 3 hours at the park in total and went on most things a couple of times. If we’d paid full price, I would maybe have felt a little ripped off but not enough for it to have been a bad day out.
Slides were really fun and there was good variety of them…King Cobra, Tsunami and Crazy Slides were my personal faves. There are a few closed attractions which looked a bit sad. Some of the slides are older than others and it felt like the park needed some TLC in some areas mentioned in other reviews (path surface maintenance, for example). Some queues don’t have any shade, which does feel a bit silly…
I share the same feedback on Fast Passes to previous reviewers…they weren’t necessary and created more annoying faff than needed. They in effect introduced two tier queues for collecting rafts/mats etc but on most rides the queues just merged into one when you queued for the ride itself. So if you had a fast pass you queued for less time, but still queued. There were ‘more’ fast pass rafts and mats than ‘standard’ ones - so standard people (like us) waited longer to get into queues for slides themselves.
Food is expensive (chips were €7.50) but that’s probably what to expect at any kind of park?
In contrast to other reviews, I didn’t feel the park was unclean at all. I actually thought the changing rooms and toilets were cleaner than I may have expected to have found them. But they are dated…
Staff were…fine? It felt like they were all working student jobs and some of them didn’t really want to be there, but I wouldn’t say they were rude or unhelpful.
They played music over a dated loudspeaker system, but only near the entrance, which was a bit strange. There would have been more ambiance and atmosphere had there been some decent speakers throughout the park!
Overall, this feels like an ‘older’ water park and they’re pushing a lot into glossy marketing which makes it look newer than it really is. If you go in expecting Disney levels of customer service and quality of experience you’ll probably be disappointed. So don’t expect Disney…and you’ll probably have a really good time!

very good overall. lovey day out. it wasnt busy and very spread out. short waits for rides, even the popular ones. the flumes were good not painful. on the other hand, a few rides we wanted to try were shut. additionally so was a wave machine pool. the lockers were cheap as you get some money back and the beds are a bargain for your buck. reasonably priced and overall a good day out for all ages. actually the lazy river was dirty oh and there were live chickens roaming around?

We had a fabulous day at Aqualand - I have two very happy teenage boys.
We only arrived at 1pm, armed with a picnic; we weren’t allowed to bring our parasol in for shade but it wasn’t a problem as we were so busy on the slides that we were kept cool enough by our hats and wet swimsuits whenever we had a break. Although we had a locker, the park was safe enough to leave our bags on our towels and not worry about whether anything went missing.
All the slides were lots of fun; I toyed with the idea of buying fast passes once we were there, but having queued for the first slide for only ten minutes, I decided against it and it didn’t stop us from going on every single slide in the park in 4.5 hours. Definitely only buy the fast pass once you’re at the park.
We really enjoyed King Cobra and Banzai the most. Anaconda is the most traditional chute ride. The Rapids are not for the faint hearted but we thought they were great - having been on similar rides where riders gather in a bottleneck, we didn’t panic and found it very funny as the stewards scooped us down the rapids for another ride. The Crazy Race was definitely the craziest - my son and I span a full 360 degrees going down it although my youngest ground to a halt and walked the last few metres into the pool!
The changing rooms are what they are - functional. It didn’t bother me that they’re communal - I just got on with it! Although my teenage boys weren’t so laid back in their changing room 😬
We loved it and we hope you do too. Remember to take a picnic and take a view on whether to buy a fast pass once you’re there.

Me and my 13 year old son consider being near a water park a must when booking a family holiday. We booked our tickets via our hotel. €50 each including the coach there and back from Cala d'or.
Arrived around 11.00am and straight away, we had something to eat to avoid the busier, lunchtime rush when queues would be greater at the food outlets and lesser at the rides ( in theory ) . Found food (hotdog & chips, cheeseburger & chips) to be overpriced and underwhelming. Ate about half of it. Didn't queue for food at 11.30 but by the more traditional lunch times they had developed and slide rides had deminished slightly.
Unless you're travelling very light, a locker is probably a must. They were about €6 each plus €5 deposit that you get back when returning key. ( Plus point: When we were getting ready to leave at end of day and on our way to return key and collect deposit, a member of staff proactively approached us and others collecting keys and handing back deposits which I thought was a nice idea )
I had a little sunburn from the previous day on the beach so was planning on wearing a T-shirt whilst on the slides, however for the most part this was not allowed for safety reasons. Lycra tops along with eligible footwear could be purchased at onsite shop that was allowed on slides. ( I just used sunblock and was fine) .
On to the slides! Started on a couple of the smaller ones to get into the swing and queueing was light. So we went onto one of the more popular ones ( Crazy Race ) Queued for 40 minutes but was great once we there!.
Fast Pass or not to Fast Pass?
Rightly so, when we initially booked our tickets through our hotel, we were advised not to buy the Fast Passes in advance but to wait and see how the queues were on the slides we wanted to use on the day. We had just queued 40 minutes for 'Crazy Race' As this was one of the highly anticipated days of our holiday and it was only the two of us, we bit the bullet and paid for two Fast Passes costing €32 each. The same ride we had just queued 40 minutes for, now took us two minutes to go on. Pretty much every ride from then on was less than a two minute queue for us. As a family we certainly don't have money to burn but in this instance it was a judgment call for what I wanted to get out of a day at a water park with my son. If my wife was with us and we had a larger family to consider buying for too, then it may have been too cost prohibitive for us and our experienced would have been totally different. There were times when I felt uncomfortable effectively 'pushing in' Not something us Brits like to do.
The slides were great! I've seen some reviews criticising 'The Rapids' slide for being chaotic. I think that was the point. It was certainly one of our favourites, we never felt in danger and the staff did a cracking job of keeping everyone moving... Great fun!!
Overall I think the park is great but at its busiest times, a victim of its own success. It was one of the highlights of our holiday. The Fast Pass worked for my son and I. Quality time together that in this case, money can buy.

Visited Aqualand 24/8/23.
What a brilliant aqua park!
A great mix of rides, fun for all ages, & plenty for daredevils.
Well staffed, & they were all very pleasant.
Top tip as others have said, take a picnic.
The longest we queued was about 20 minutes & on average between 5-10 minutes. It was quieter before lunchtime.
Had a brilliant day & would say it was well worth the entry cost.

We got a discount so decided to go as I’ve been to other parks before and enjoyed them.
I’m afraid this one is not as enjoyable. We went on Monday 28th around 1pm. The park wasn’t too crowded which was nice, but you could see incredibly long queues on the biggest rides.
The changing rooms and lockers aren’t signed at all from the entrance so you have to wander aimlessly until you see them. Lockers are expensive but you do get some money back upon key return. The changing rooms however are an absolute joke. No private booths so if you don’t like getting undressed in public, or can’t for religious or other reasons, your only option is the toilet stalls. The showers are freezing cold on the warmest setting.
I had barely taken a step in a pool when I was yelled at by a guard that I couldn’t wear sunglasses in the pool. I tried to explain that I can’t see without them as they are vision glasses, and he gesticulated that I need a strap to keep them in place. I trudged all the way back to the store near the lockers and acquired a strap for 2.50€.
As it turned out the strap was not enough when I was told that I could not go on any slides with glasses on. Only goggles are allowed, which means people who wear glasses are f****d.
My partner held my glasses so I could go on one slide, but it was not great walking up without seeing properly and I missed the steps on the way out of the pool and hurt my leg.
The Congo river which is the only “ride” I could do with the glasses was incredibly slow, I know it’s a lazy river but you essentially needed to paddle to get through.
Partner tried the rapids (I told him about the review here saying not to, but he went anyway) and he regretted it. He said he got stuck at the first bend, but staff kept sending people down behind him. He ended up in reverse facing a woman who was worried she’d hurt him, and had no clue what was coming up behind him.
We were done after that.
Some of the rides appeared to be closed as well.

Thanks for your visit and review.
We take note regarding the signage to improve it.
Regarding glasses as indicated in the park rules:
As a general rule the use of any type of goggles is not allowed in pools and slides except in the following cases:
- Swimming goggles are the only goggles allowed in any pool and slide. Diving goggles are not allowed.
- Goggles and sunglasses are not allowed on the slides under any circumstances, but are allowed in the wave pools and kiddie pools as long as they are used with a tether.
- In case of serious vision problems for the use of the slides, the use of prescription swimming goggles is recommended, as normal goggles are not allowed.
This regulation is applied for safety reasons since if an accident occurred with the glasses or they were lost in the pool, the attraction would need to be closed. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations.
All the best.

Hi. I have seen a few posts about drivers of rental cars getting free admission to the park. Is this correct please?
aqualandta
El Arenal, Spain
Yes, that is correct. Accompanying a paying adult, the driver of the rental car would get in for free. Remember to take the contract with you on the day you go to the park and show it at the ticket office.

Hi if we come to Aqualand today at about 1300 will there still be tickets and will it still be possible to buy fast passes please?

Hi, at this moment we don't know yet the opening dates for this season. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic we cannot guarantee dates, forcing us to improvise more than we are used to. As soon as we know will inform you through social media and our website.
Kind regards,
Is there anywhere to store a suitcase? Would it fit in the lockers?
aqualandta
El Arenal, Spain
Hi, Ellen. Our staff will keep your suitcases at the Customer Offices. Lockers are not big enough to keep a suitcase inside.
Regards,
Does a 5 year old need a fast pass?
Many thanks

Fastpass is for faster access to our attractions. Gor a child of that age it would not be necessary since he will not access all the attractions. Regards,
