A good way to see the area

It goes through scenery that you couln't take a hire car to and make taking pics easy. It might look a bit 'corny' but it is well worth the trip.

We took the 2 hr journey to the top of the natural park of Cap de Creus - it was a rough ride as you go up/down hills on mud/gravel roads. But it is brilliant, an open sided coach lets you see all and certainly feel the wind. At the very top we stopped and the driver gave us all... More

We had a very enjoyable experience on the Roses Express. The train came to the hotel to pick us up and carried us back there at the end of the 2 hour journey. The ride itself is bumpy but not uncomfortable and takes you through Roses and up to the high point of the Parc Natural - an unspoilt headland... More

This is a PROPER land train - you may join it along the prom and your expectations are pretty low.........but then you start to wind you way up the hillsides - EXHILARATING or what ? It takes well over an hour to reach the highest point when you pause for phots - and a drop of wine and some home-made... More

A sturdy road train took us up to the National Park where we had some splendid views of the Roses Resort and then the sea and on top of the highest mountain good views over the valleys. Some parts dusty and bumpy but still o.k. Surprise treat of wine and local biscuits at the top ,all jolly going back .

There are a choice of four different excursions. Leaflets and displayed poster size maps show the routes. We especially wanted one that gave us panoramic views of the bay and town. It is possible that they all do but we chose the 5pm one which we could see from the map weaved its way up the hillside. We were not... More

Have been on two of the Roses Express sightseeing trips one in May and one in September. Both trips were great. Such a friendly crew One into the mountains which was for 2 hours fantastic views plenty of opportunity for photos and wine and biscuits at the top. That was a bonus. The second was along past the marina and... More

Took the two hour ride to Joncals, leaving at 1100 every day, (2017 price €18). Fabulous views and smells of wild lavender and pine. When you arrive at Joncals you can alight and walk to view the bay which is in the Cap del Cruz Parc Natural and beautiful unspoilt Costa Brava. Don't forget your camera as the views are... More

Complete tourist cheese but the views were amazing. We did the late trip so it was dark when we got to the top, the lights and views were stunning and a photo does not do it justice. Windy at the top, so take a cardigan/ light jacket even on a warm night. Worth it!
