- BrianngogCyprus11,427 contributionsLovely AreaOur friends recently moved to the Famagusta Area and so we were tasked with showing them Ayia Napa. First port of call was the harbour area. Lovely area with plenty of Tourist Boats which in the High Season are always very busy and so there’s often a large throng of Tourists. As it was Mid December it was very quiet with the boats both Tourist and Fishing all moored up with various maintenance work being done. Some lovely Tavernas and eateries as well as Coffee Outlets all with views of the Harbour. Safe and secure for any little ones in the Family and a lovely beach on the doorstep.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 20 December 2023

Have a walk around before deciding!Lovely developed harbour area with restaurants, shops, seating areas and monuments. Harbour leads to a broadwalk which forms a lovely walkway along the whole coast line. Many boat trip options operate out of the harbour to suit different wishes.Visited May 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 12 May 2024
- KC30000England, United Kingdom102 contributionsWorth a visit if staying close byVisited the harbour area again while staying in nearby Protaras. As it was April the weather was pleasant for a walk around the harbour and this links to the coastal path. We visited some of the local souvenir shops and there are also plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants which have nice outside seating areas to watch the world go by. This is also where many sightseeing boat trips set off from should you want to explore the coastline. Always worth a visit if staying close by and will be returning again in the future.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 13 July 2024

This harbour is not a glam show. Mainly fishing boats and pubs attracting charter tourists liking cheep beer and not so glamour stores? Lots of Sex and spirits. So so clients. Highlight was Alya all day consept (though very slow service) had very good food and guess what! French rosé whine! And very instagramable! Place to go! If you have time 🥰

After visiting Aiya Napa centre I was feeling a little disappointed as it didn’t feel like we were in Cyprus (Paphos is beautiful) so I was very surprised when we visited the harbour and it was totally different- very pretty, relaxed atmosphere, lovely walk around the harbour and boats! Some nice statues, bars, restaurants and a great ice-cream parlour. Had a lovely afternoon, there is a beach too and you can walk on a path inbetween the hotels and beach which was nice! A lot of the hotels have seats outside so everyone can enjoy their food and drinks! 2 x Sunloungers and an umbrella cost 7.50 euro for all day, showers and feet washing facilities were also available!

While on a walk around the centre of Ayia Napa essentially getting to know the area better, found the harbour which was a pleasant surprise. A nice place to walk around with plenty of cafes and restaurants along with a few shops. Perfect on a lazy sunny afternoon into the evening with beautiful views along the coastline. Worth a visit if staying close by and will be returning in the near future.

We paid a walking visit to Ayia Napa Harbour where the Tourist Season for Boat Trips is well under way. Lovely stroll through the many Fishing & Tourist Boats with a number of nearby Eateries and Bars to tempt you. Lovely relaxed atmosphere helps as well and a Beach on hand to give you yet another option for your time the Harbour has many many things to offer but take a moment to imagine this Fishing Village Harbour as it was back in the day.

We visited this Harbour while we were on a two hour cruise with the Nemo submarine and we liked it. There are plenty of restaurants and shopa near it and also a lovely beach.
Plenty of other cruises option from the harbour and lots of activity in the night time, definitelya must while visiting Ayia Napa.

Another place to visit mainly in the summer to enjoy the beautiful beaches and the clear water of ayia Napa/protaras area. Most of the beaches are blue flagged. Ideal for swimming...!

Going to Ayia Napa 14 April , will most of the resorts restaurants and bars be open by then.
Written 31 March 2019
There will certainly be a number of Restaurants Open by the time you arrive as it will be approaching Easter and more Tourists will be in the area. We have noticed there are a few more open during March than in January & February. You will certainly have a wider choice and of the ones we know are open are generally good. Have a great time and enjoy the Cypriot Hospitality.

hi. I am having my wedding in ayia napa in June. I was wondering if it's possible for a mini boat trip. a hour max for 10 people?
Written 15 March 2017
There are many suitable vessels in the harbour available for your 10 guests and the costs are very reasonable. You must go to a restaurant called Sage in the old town, it is superb food and excellent wine take a look on Google.
Have a great wedding and honeymoon in Ayia Napa its a fab resort
