Visit this church to see the "unreconstructed" architecture. Sit in the cool (during summer) and ponder the barrel arches, the unadulterated fresco (but mostly clean, clear walls) and the undercroft beneath the altar. Imagine worship here 500 years ago. Or imagine it today. A peaceful...More

This beautiful, noble, ancient church, stripped of all its ornament and furniture looks very sad indeed. Beautiful proportions, but now so ugly in its starkness. It looks abandoned and unloved.
