A really cool museum! Extensive exhibition, interesting layout and an impressive outdoor section. You will see a lot of Soviet Union arms and an amazing collection of Wehrmacht decorations. A rare thing! You will not see a lot in Russia or the US.

A wonderful museum depicting the history of Finland through its army, mostly artillery. Very well presented and engaging. Would be interesting also for those who are not familiar with Finnish history, but best to have at least a basic knowledge to fully enjoy. Excellent collection...More

Too much to see and read so you might be a bit overwhelmed especially when you are not a fan of militarism. My two teenagers did not liked it. In their opinion the Prison Museum nearby was much more interesting.

The bulk of the museum details Finnish military history in exhaustive detail. English is used, but I just did not need this level of detail. The exhibits themselves are standard military museum fare, but it was cool seeing the uniform of a 7 foot conscript....More

Ther was all necessary to see about artillery, signals and military engineering. This is to say from Finnish point of view. The combination of three army branches mixed in the same exhibition is same time a blessing and a curse. Diversion and interconnection versus focusing...More

Worth of a visit. Gives a modern exhibition of the military history of Finland. Rare artillery pieces. Many documentary movies from the battles of the FDF in the WW II. In close vicinity is the medieval Häme Castle.
