The War Memorial is explained on the dolphin cruise and then the whole thing makes sense. The concrete posts represent the troops marching up the beach and as they get further up they are higher and higher, then they get lower till they are virtually...More

Beautiful and thoughtful memorial. Very peaceful and isolated area. The memorial is very modern in appearance but carries echoes of the past with its well worded inscriptions.

Often find war memorials rather simple affairs being a marble column with brass plaques. Not this one - modern well planned & built with feeling & creativity Location on Mandurah estuary foreshore adds to its impact

A very well designed and thoughtful memorial to soldiers who fought for peace. Well designed and prominently located near mouth of Mandurah estuary.

We were on holiday in Mandurah for Remembrance day so the memorial held more significance than it might otherwise have done. The parade of obelisks engraved with touching words and phrases rising from the sea only to end interred in the grassy lawn are designed...More

Very peaceful area of Mandurah, perfect for the war memorial. During my time in Mandurah I went to the war memorial 3-4 times, mainly as I found it was the perfect place to get away from the crowds and find a quiet spot to read...More
