We were staying in the Halls Head area right alongside the beach, and had a lovely time. The beach that faces North East has the most protection from the wind - this is the area that is shallow and ideal for younger kids to paddle,...More

I took the kids (7 and 4yo) and we enjoyed it. The waves were gentle, so it felt safe for them to play. It’s certainly a beautiful beach, but there’s a lot of seaweed in the water.

A very pretty view of the ocean and easy to access parking. Luckily we had pleasant weather and the area was not crowded.

Well worth visiting! Halls Head is surrounded by well maintained walk/cycle pathways leading to ample easy access beach stairs. Ocean facing seats and picnic areas to look out over the ocean where we saw pods of dolphins swim past.

Amazing clear water and sands, lovely for a long walk or just to sit and relax. There is almost no one on this beach, incredible really for such a lovely spot.

Lovely family beach, clean & very safe, just a few steps to walk down to the beach. If you should feel hungry nice fish & chip shop not too far away.

It was a lovely sunny day. Step out the car and only a few steps and you are on the beach. Swim, walk or grab a coffee to sit and relax. Very easy for time to just slip away.
