Reached the area overlooking this brig via the main road into Albany along the seafront. Just on the left you can drive up to a viewing point, and just a bit further on you see on your left this wonderful old brig. A very attractive...More

What a brilliant way of explaining all about this convict ship. You have your own hand held device for listening to the history of the ship as you explore it above and below. Well done.

Loved looking around this old ship the audio information was good and informative. Below decks makes you wonder how did the men etc manage in such cramped conditions. Easy to bang your head if not careful, but well worth a visit.

We didn’t take the tour, but spent an enjoyable 1/4 hour wandering the deck and taking photos as part of our tour of the museum

A far more interesting attraction than I expected. Great to be able to go below deck and have a look at the conditions that those arriving to our shores experienced. Good audio tour that provided information at your own pace. Well worth the $5.

To think that this was the ship that first settled in Albany all those years ago, even though it was called Fredericktown back then. The Amity is well worth a visit.

A visit to the Amity highlights to young people a valuable lesson in the hardships and bravery of English sailors in the early settlement of Albany. The brig is in very good condition and a great tourist stop. Interesting information is availble on board.

This is a 'must see' if you're interested in Australia's history. The ship is beautifully built as a replica of the Brig Amity. I accepted the hand-held sound description unit which one takes around as a "self-guide" to the 20 or so "stations" on the...More
