If you already in the area and interested in the subject the memorial is accompanied by some plaques providing contextual information. The views from the memorial and nearby view point are also great.

The only drawback is that you want to get closer to see the detail but this bronze statue is so amazingly good in detail and expression that I stood in awe. The surrounding garden and stars are delightful with many natives in bloom this time...More

The location of this memorial on the top of a hill overlooking King George Sound from which the ANZAC convoys left for the war is something special. So is the walk up the steps thru the bush and the statue itself.

We were advised to go up to the memorial at sunset and it was great advice. There are stunning views in every direction but more importantly the memorial itself is a very imposing and moving site. Definitely worth the visit.

It's free and got car parks. If you have elders there is a ramp where you drive up for a drop-off/pick up rather than let them walk. At the top, the view is absolutely stunning.

A simply magnificent memorial in an absolutely marvellous location. Added to a visit to the Forts and the National Anzac Centre will make for a truly memorable experience.

This is a must visit. It’s great to visit and reflect on the soldiers who went to war. It’s an amazing place. It also has good views over the harbour
